No hassle!
Even though I work as an RVT when my dog is not acting like himself i get very stressed! It's so nice knowing that finances are not another thing I need to worry about. I also had 2 separate claims in one week and neither were an issue with Trupanion.

No complaints! Great service
I've submitted many claims over the years for my now 11 year old dog, with no issues on reimbursement. They reimburse according to the amounts they disclose when you are considering your policy. No complaints here.

Glad we purchased this insurance . . .
Our cat Kong was limping and lethargic at the worst possible time for vet treatment - Christmas Eve! We took him to our neighborhood vet but then had to go to the Animal Emergency Clinic who are open 24-7, including holidays. Kong is an older outdoor cat, usually healthy except for an extremely expensive (total of nearly $3,000) urinary tract infection several years ago that prompted us to buy insurance! This time we think he had eaten something he could not digest (bony material) in addition to having been in a fight and sustained a few wounds, both of which resulted in an infection and temperature.

After 5 corgis I decided the new puppy should have pet insurance- I didn't anticipate that I would need surgery so soon. Healthy Paws customer support staff responded quickly answering questions and promptly reviewed out claim. A follow-up contact to ask how our pet was doing certainly exceeded my expectations . Having surgery on your pet is always stressful , knowing that you have insurance to offset the expense makes the experience a bit more manageable.

While our claim was initially denied, we appealed it and Trupanion was very compassionate, reasonable, and resolved the matter quickly. In the end they fully covered the accident and all related claims. The staff were so kind throughout the whole ordeal. So much so that we're actually headed down to their office next week with our healed pup to say thank you in person! Thanks Trupanion!

Pet insurance equals peace of mind
In the morning Meara was spinning for breakfast, in the evening she had bloody,explosive diarrhea and collapsed. We took her to a local overnight emergency clinic. They stablelized her and in the morning she was taken to Advanced Internal Medicine. They found a tumor,possibly in operable. We took her home very sad at the expected outcome, but she rallied over the next few days, so we did a CT scan. She has had a successful surgery and we are waiting for histopathology report, hoping for a treatable cancer, which seems very likely. I was nervous about the mounting costs, but Healthy Paws reimbursed as expected. The claims process was easy and efficient. I called the company and emailed on a couple of occasions. Everyone was friendly, personable and supportive. You can tell these are animal loving people. I am very hopeful that Meara will have a good outcome and be with us for a few more years. I am so glad I made the decision to switch to Healthy Paws a few years ago.
