Amazing!
I rarely go online to rate companies, but I feel compelled to write one up for Trupanion as they have been nothing short of amazing!! Not too long after I picked up Minka from the breeder, she ingested a rather large seed from a coconut palm in my parents' backyard. The next morning when I woke up to take Minka on her morning walk, she seemed constipated and vomited and it looked as if her stomach was slightly distended. I immediately brought her to the vet who had to surgically remove the seed that had distended her stomach to three times it's size! The bill was huge (around $3k) and I wasn't sure that my Trupanion pet insurance had "kicked in" just yet. Fortunately, even though the insurance hadn't become active just yet, Trupanion paid for the surgery and I think I paid around $750, as I mentioned Trupanion didn't have to do that and I consider Trupanion an amazing company and highly recommend it to any pet owner!!

It Paid
Totally true story-- I adopted my dog in April. My last one had a lot of chronic diseases plus one emergency surgery and I didn't have insurance. I decided to get it with the new one and after much comparison went with Embrace because of customizable plans and other features such as actual cost reimbursement annual not per incident deductible. She was diagnosed in October with insulima, a tumor on her pancreas. I opted for surgery to prolong good quality life but not cure her. Surgery went well and biopsy was encouraging but she developed severe pancreatitits and became diabetic. SHe spent 8 days in the ICU and still needs lots of care. The only bright spot in this whole thing has been Embrace (plus the kindness of others). even though she was so newly ensured the paid up in full. I'm only giving a 9 not a 10 because of the delay in processing my claims (for which they repeatedly apologized and did keep me informed of status). To top it off, the customer service rep I talked to emailed me separately to inquire about the dog's status and say how glad she was that at least I was getting reimbursed. Really impressed and pleased.

EMBRACE equals AWESOME!
We have never had pet insurance before but after having Embrace for only a few months for our new German Shepherd pup we are absolutely blown away! The service is terrific and fast and the communications are wonderfully appreciative and courteous! I wish I could get such great service from my own insurer. Thanks EMBRACE!!

They denied claims without reviewing them.I did have a pre exsisting allergy exclusion, but they used that to deny eye infections, anything. Also the Ortho exam is another way they exclude items when My puppy was less than a year.

Top Notch and FAST claims service!
I have had Pets Best Insurance on my two Boxers for a couple of years now. Pets Best has been a life saver for us financially and worth every penny in premiums!!! I have never waited longer than 4 days for reimbursement AND they directly deposit the reimbursement right into my checking account! Every time I have ever called their customer service I have always received the best service! I am admittedly hard to please but Pets Best is truly the BEST pet insurance EVER!

Trupanion is the "king" of pet insurance
I have two papillons which are both insured by Trupanion. Unfortunately, I tend to have bad luck....but I always know they have my back. Recently one of my girls had a very rare tendon avulsion in her hind leg. She needed lots of xrays and an extensive surgery done by a specialist. We used our credit card for the purchases (which was over 2 grand) and within NINE days We had our money back the full 90 percent. Not only have I had great experience on the money side with Trupanion, but I am big on over the phone service. In the five years that I have been with Trupanion, I have NEvER gotten someone rude or that didn't know their stuff. They truly want to help in the best way they can. I feel very secure with my choice of Trupanion years ago and would never change my mind.
