ASPCA insurance
I am glad that I have the insurance on my dogs, it does help when the time comes. Living with dogs, I am sure all dogs owners know that, there could be dog fights, snake bite, illness... Having insurance helps ease our minds. I won't do it without insurance. Most of all, portion of it goes to helo ASPCA. The only thing I hope was that it is not that expensive. :)

Read the FINE PRINT!
Read the FINE PRINT! I can't stress this enough. It does not matter what their rep tells you over the phone. You MUST get it in writing. Also, their requirement that you provide full medical records within x amount of time of enrolling is confusing. When I called after enrolling and receiving the email, the rep said this wasn't needed. Later they'll tell you it's in their FAQ. Is that the right place for it? Maybe their reps should know too. For a year they've collected my monthly payment and a few hundred dollars in deductible this year. What did I get out of it? Well, I thought I had good pet insurance and peace of mind when really it was all an illusion.

Reason why my dog is insured
This note is to voice my opinion pertaining pet’s insurance and to answer to the question to have it or not, from my view point.My dog Bullet, German shepherd, currently 10 years old, was insured every since he was little puppy. For very long time he was receiving yearly check up at veterinary hospital and not too much of health problem issues noticed. As he started aging and health problems began (if not this then that), the bills and expenses for variety of different treatments started growing. Recently Bullet’s problem, like kidneys and urinary system, required different tests, among others ultrasound. The bill was very high. Based on the type of insurance policy covering Bullet’s medical expenses, I was reimbursed 80% of the expenses that covered also high price medication. So, yes pet’s insurance is the security blanket for those who care for their pet. I would strongly recommend ASPCA Pet Health Insurance to my friends.

Painless claim submission!
Love this insurance much better than other pet insurance we had. The claim submission process is painless and very easy. The turn around time to receive payment on a claim has never been over 10 days. Wish my health insurance was this easy!

TruPanion has been a saving grace to our two cats. I manage the care of both my mother's cat and mine. Our vet, Pet Crossing, submits claims right while we are in the office. Ususally, care is processed quickly, I pay my deductible plus the balance and we are off back home to catnip and curled up napping. This was the case in our most recent trip to Pet Crossing. TruPanion also has pre-approval of claims for those serious incidences where I needed solid financial information to understand if I could move forward with treatment. Though premiums have risen as our cats age, our two cats have not had to cash in any of their nine lives since being covered by TruPanion.
