Excellent insurance, fast service
We selected Healthy Paws in 2011 when our first dog Diesel was a puppy and could have been nicknamed "crash." Fortunately, he grew up a little and we didn't have to use it. When we got our second dog Luna in 2013 we added her immediately. We are so glad we did as this year, Luna has had more than her fair share of vet visits. She was hit by a car in February, tore a cruciate in March and had TTA surgery, followed by rehab, and just a few weeks ago tore her meniscus in the same leg and had to have another surgery. Every time we submit a claim, it is processed and paid with no questions and no delay (usually within 10 days). It's been a rough year for Luna, but Healthy Paws has allowed us to focus on her recovery instead of worrying how we are going to pay her vet bills.

Rough Start, but....
Having no previous experience with this type of insurance, it was a rough start. There were misunderstandings, delayed paperwork (on both sides), etc. However, after false starts and resubmissions, one side finally caught up with the other. I'm sure all claims and submissions will be promptly addressed in the future. My overall rating at this point is more than likely not indicative of their best work. I'm sure this will change for the better as we continue to work together. Until that time, I will remain non-comittal.

Trupanion is the best!
Thank you so much for great insurance and even better customer service! We've had two claims, they are processed very quickly. Trupanion is the first pet insurance we've used, and we will continue to choose it for each dog we add to our family. Our pug was saved twice because we were able to get the care he needed with Trupanion. I'm so glad our vet recommended it at our puppies first visit.

Best decision, great customer service
Everyone made fun of me for getting pet insurance, but it paid off for my 1 year old pup, and for my finances. I consider myself obsessed with my two dogs' well-being, but one of them has proven that I need to keep a better eye on him.My Miller ate a piece of fabric, which of course got stuck in his intestines. His surgery totaled about $2,900. I paid out of pocket but received most of the money back from Embrace, thank God! Less than a year later, he darted of out the car after a road trip and took off and was hit by a car. Luckily he wasn't hurt bad, but the medicine and vet visit was reimbursed as well by Embrace. I always recommend to friends and family to get pet insurance, it's invaluable. Embrace has been great for me. Their claim reps are responsive when inquiring if paperwork was received as well as making sure reimbursements are received.

Nobody beats PETS BEST!!
Our little Yorkie Mickey has been having a difficult time. It's taken about a year to find a treatment that seems to be working now, and can save his life!! Pets Best has been right there with us throughout this procedure. If not for them, we would have had a very difficult time finding funds to cover all the procedures that have been tried. He now seems to be doing so much better... special foods ONLY, and medications, one of which is quite expensive! Even though the rates rise with the pets age, they are still very close to most good Pet Insurance plans. It is so good knowing that you have a lifeline for some financial help when life throws you that curve ball and you have to scramble to save your dog's life! Thanks for being there for us Pets Best!!

Extremely Satisfied
My English bulldog recently tore her ACL. I called customer service to ask if the surgery was reimbursable and the rep was very friendly and helpful. My claim was paid in full, quickly with no hassle. With all the rehab and post op instructions, it's great to have one less thing to worry about. I highly recommend Nationwide pet insurance. It really couldn't be easier and gives me peace of mind when my dog is not well.

predictable insurance at a good price
With my previous dog, I had VPI insurance, and was extremely dissatisfied with it. The reimbursements were arbitrary and pitifully small, and the rate increases after she had several claims were enormous. So, I dropped the insurance when she was about 3 years old, and paid out of pocket for her rest of her life. With my current dog, I’ve signed up with Embrace pet insurance, and so far I’m very pleased. The reimbursements are totally predictable (you choose the percent of the bill to be paid, based on your premium level and annual deductible), and they promise not to increase rates based on any claims that you make. That doesn’t mean rates won’t ever increase… they do allow for increases based on age of the dog and inflation… but it does mean that if my dog has 3 claims in a year, her premium rate won’t double or triple at the next renewal, like they did with VPI. So far I’m very happy with Embrace, and anticipate staying with them for the life of my dog.

Excellent Customer Service
I have been impressed with Trupanion's fast response when I submit a claim and their Customer Service when I have called with a question. When I submit a claim, I get an emailed confirmation right away. When they are reimbursing me, I get an email with the amount and the check arrives within a week. I did get preauthorization when my dog had knee surgery which helps on processing additional related claims and reimbursement.
