I never thought I'd ever have anything good to say about an insurance company, let alone those that insure our animals (because they know we're sitting ducks.) I wish this company insured people. Rufus - Dog's can have nine lives too!
I started with Trupanion many years ago after a very costly emergency procedure for Rufus. I have to admit that I considered cancelling at one point simply because I hadn't really needed to use the policy much. As Rufus has aged, Trupanion literally has saved Rufus time and time again. He has received the best medical treatments available and the best drug therapies. He has survived pancreatitis, ACL repair, a stomach bleed and cancer just to name a few. He is also living comfortably with arthritis in his old age. I have recommended Trupanion to absolutely everyone I know who cares about doing all they can for their pets.

Thank you for asking how Vienna is doing after her cruciate surgery. She is doing well. She has started physical therapy post op. It is good to know I have Healthy Paws by my side so she can continue to get the best after care related to her surgery. I work at an animal hospital and tell all of our clients how important pet insurance is. Of course they always ask me what pet insurance I have and I tell them Healthy Paws. I have been very happy with Trupanion. The initial claims on my dog Zeke (2 repaired cranial cruciate ligaments) were handled efficiently and thoroughly. He is now on glucosamine for the rest of his life and I have been impressed every time I submit another receipt for reimbursement. The staff at Trupanion are really friendly and obviously concerned about my pet, and they always pay his claims promptly and with no question.

Wonderful!
I was one that always in the back of my mind questioned having pet insurance as it was something I paid each month and never used. Recently my 8 year old dog became very sick (almost overnight). He went from what I saw as a healthy, energetic dog to one that required 24 hour care. Trupanion was there when I and my dog were under tremendous stress. I cannot say enough good about them. Claims were submitted and approved immediately (no questions asked). Quite frankly, I would not own another pet without this insurance. I have since recommended this company to many that walk their dogs with me. Hopefully they listen to what I have said.
