Figo Pet Insurance and Karl Sagan RULES!

I adopted a cat in September. I have a lot of friends with pets, some have insurance for their fur babies, some do not. Those that did have pet insurance discovered that the insurance they had didn't cover a lot. I wanted to ensue I did my due diligence and research as many companies as I could. It was overwhelming! It was just as confusing as human insurance! I had a conversation with Karl Sagan and I knew immediately that I needed to go with FIGO PET INSURANCE. Karl has even followed up with me and the issues I have had with my cat. Now, THAT is customer service!

New Insurance for my FIRST Puppy!

I was so lost when it came to insurance when we got our new puppy, I didn't know where to start...but after talking with one of Figo's team members I was sure Figo was the right choice for us. Their platform and app also make it super easy to navigate! Very happy with our plan so far!!!

Very Satisfied

I personally don't understand the negative reviews. I've never had VPI/Nationwide deny a claim and my dog has severe allergies and goes to the vet quite often. They even paid 100% for his allergy testing and his allergy shots which are expense. I couldn't be more pleased.

FANTASTIC COMPANY!!!

My cat Dante work me up at 3 in the morning 2 days before Christmas. After taking him to the two different vets, including a 24 hour emergency vet, I got an oh-so-fun $1400 holiday gift (but thankfully a healthy cat.) Submitting the claim was a lot easier than I expected. With the phone app, just take a picture of the invoice from the vet, click submit and that's it. We submitted our claim on December 24th, and had our check IN HAND on January 3rd. And that's during the holidays! Way to back up what you promise, you have earned a customer for life. 100% Recommended!

Trupanion is Untrustworthy

When I first enrolled my dogs in Trupanion I thought it was a great company. I own a dog business and would tell my customers that they should have insurance for their dog and Trupanion is the best. Well, they are as long as you don't put in too many claims. When I first got her she had a very odd gait. My vet indicated this in her record. At 6 mos of age I had X rays done to see if there were any problems. The X rays showed nothing. At 1 year of age I had them done again. The surgeon that did the X rays said she suspected she would have hip dysplasia. At 2, more X rays, no change. We did them again when she was 3 at a different facility and it showed no hip dysplasia. Trupanion had already said that they would not cover anything to do with her hips because of her "odd gait" she had a pre existing condition. After having the last X Ray I decided to fight the ruling of pre existing hip dysplasia. They actually called the radiologist and got him to change his report. They also had their people look at the X rays she had done at 6 mos that showed no abnormalities and said that it did show hip dysplasia. She.She has now been diagnosed with an arthritic spine, a bulging disc and degenerative disc disease. Once again they are trying to say that this is a pre existing condition from the "odd gait". They are also now holding up her seizure claims. I have tried to get clarification as how the hip dysplasia(that she doesn't have) is causing the back problems. I can't get a straight answer. I have 2 other dogs that I've never put a claim in on. I'm not asking for anything other than what Trupanion advertises and promises.

Very thorough and great customer service

I was a little skeptical obtaining an insurance company for my fur kids but have heard over the years how it has helped those around me when the time came. I was referred to Embrace by my cousin and finally decided to join. So glad I did. So far, I've submitted two claims for their annual vaccines and received full reimbursement under their plan. Glad to know they have the care that's need should something happen in the future. And great customer service.

Best Decision!

We got Healthy Paws when our boxer was about 2-3 months old. We pay about $35 a month and have not had to use it until now. She is 1 year old and had a few sets of blood work done as well as an ultrasound. We have spent around $900 in two visits alone, and within a week of submitting the claim, we received our 90% reimbursement check. They also sent us an email checking in on Sadie! Granted you pay monthly and in the end probably evens out what you are spending, but no huge hits to your bank account at any given time. Well worth it to have our dog covered!

Providers

I have had several pet insurances and Embrace was just as good if not better. I really do like the way business is conducted here as claims and follow up is quite painless for me. If I cant find a particular receipt Embrace's talented staff do detective work when I can find the proper paper work and that is a time saver. Happy New Year. Eric

Eye injury

Murphy had an eye injury that could have resulted in his eye being removed. However, we were put in contact with the only animal eye specialist in Kansas and he is doing just fine. ASPCA paid all covered expenses. Murphy and his mother, Allie are rescue Shih Tzu we adopted 1 1/2 years ago from LAPP. We renewed our ASPCA policies again, but hope we don't have to collect in 2016! Thank you very much.
