Echo-cardiogram twice a year
Mister Mouser,our sweet young cat, has a developing heart condition. He was adopted from our vets' adoption center and there had been no sign of this condition when he became part of our family. He needs an echo-cardiogram every six months. So glad he is also part of Trupanion's family.

Good Coverage
Trupanion's coverage was excellent. There was a slight delay in mailing the check; but nothing major. Some confusion over a prescription from her regular vet; I should have secured it from the Pet Emergency Hospital. Trupanion customer service is responsive and helpful.

So Far....Great!
We have not had a lot of major claims, but quiet a few smaller ones. Pets Best customer service has been great when I call....patiently going over deductibles, premium, etc. The claims filing has gotten even easier in the 3 yrs since we've had the insurance. They have great options- either higher deducible, lower premium, or vice a versa. I have recommended them to friends!

My previous dog had numerous health issues so when I got a new dog I took out medical insurance,Trupanion was a good choice! My new havanese puppy "Muffin" lost her tear production after a year old,Muffin is doing good now but will be on medications the rest of her life that are epensive.I have 90 percent coverage of her meds that Trupanion pays qickly! Also Muffin got a severe skin infection that her regular Vet could not treat.Muffin needed a specialist and a 950.00 surgery to biopsy her lesions and test for cancer!Thank goodness they were benign and now she is recovering on new meds! Trupanion paid 90 percent of her bills in just a week! Very helpful and nice people to do business with!

First time user of Pet Insurance
I was not certain if I would like pet insurance and if it would pay without a lengthy wait, as does Medicare!!! The staff was courteous and the process of claim was began what seemed like the first day it was received by Trupanion. Today a received a check for a claim that was less than one month old. Part of the Vet bill I did not pay once my deductible was met. At this writing I am happy with my choice and I did not have to decline any testing that was appropriate for the illness.
