We unfortunately had a house fire where four pets were trapped inside. We were not at home. We received a call from a neighbor who informed us of the house fire. We rush home to fine our two dogs in the front yard on their doggie beds. One deceased, one survivor. Thankfully the Clark County Fire Department made an attempt to rescue our pets from the house. Sadly, we lost a dog, a cat and an bird to smoke inhalation. Our surviving dog, Hank, a german shepherd, suffered sever smoke inhalation and was taken to the veterinarian for smoke inhalation, He was in very bad shape and I was afraid that we would lose him too. A large veterarian bill would have been more than we could have afforded at that time of the fire. Fortunately, We have Embrace insurance and the worry of a large medical bill was the least of our concerns. At the time we purchased Pet Insurance, I admit, I had wondered how wise a purchase it would really be. Since the fire I am convinced it was as important as purchasing health insurance for anyone in my family. Hank was in the hospitalized for ten days. Thanks to the great skill of our veterarian and Embrace, we were able to bring Hank home. The security of knowing that a large pet medical bill would be covered was the best part of Embrace Pet Insurance. The bonus was the reimbursement check we received from the medical claim. We use the money to have a electronic pet door installed when our house was rebuilt. The monthly premium payments are worth the sacrifice to insure that my Pets will receive the best medical treatment.

Hard to imagine any other company being better

Healthy Paws has been simply fantastic. They have paid out many thousands of dollars in claims for my dog, mostly due to the diagnosis and treatment of Addison's disease. They process the claims very quickly, send a check quickly, and they have never, ever tried to stiff me on a claim (can't say the same for my previous pet insurer). Their customer service is terrific. I especially like that they inquire about how your pet is doing after anything that seems significant. They just seem like they really care about your pet. I have nothing but great things to say about them.

I've been a Healthy Paws Pet Insurance member since June 2012. I have two fur babies and when my puppy started losing sight in her right eye due to a genetic predisposition, it was quite stressful as a pet parent. The Healthy Paws team was so helpful in explaining what was covered and what I could expect. Their team communicated with me throughout the process. Submitting a claim was extremely easy and the turnaround time was within days. The Healthy Paws team even followed up a week later to check up on my little one. They have gone above an beyond. The Claim Representatives who handled my dog's claim were excellent. They were polite and kind with each conversation I had. I was faced with a delicate situation when trying to obtain records for the claim. The Representative stepped in and quickly obtained what was needed to settle the claim. I cannot compliment them enough. I liked the ease of being able to send & track my claim on my IPad. As I mention in an email, "I hope never to need use Healthy Paws again but I am glad to know your company will be there if I do." My claim was settled at 90% coinsurance and with the deductible I chose within 3 weeks.

Healthy Paws is a great choice for anyone that needs health insurance for their pet. My dog Whitman suffers from an unhealthy stomach and has seen his veterinarian many times. He is now on a hypoallergenic diet and is doing much better. With each visit to the vet I submit a claim with Healthy Paws, and they always attend to my claims promptly, usually within just a couple of days. They even send me a personalized email to check up on Whitman. Additionally, when I have needed to make a phone call Healthy Paws always answers and responds to my questions immediately. Fortunately not too much has happened with my Cattle Dog. But we found out that he has arthritis in his front elbows. :-( A bit of a blow for us as his absolute favorite thing in the world is playing fetch. However, through the diagnosis and treatment Healthy Paws has been very supportive. The folks there have been very friendly and informative. Claims were handled very fast. They seem to really care about my boys health.
