Beware pre-existing condition exaggeration
My dog was treated 3 years ago for anxiety due to dental surgery. Now, my dog has IBD (irritable bowel disease) and is in a lot of pain and distress. Vet prescribed anti-anxiety meds, but Pets Best declined coverage because of a "pre-existing condition." There is no relation between dental surgery 3 years ago and a chronic bowel disease. Will not insure another pet with this company.

My Pet Had Cancer Surgery
My 13 year old dog developed an Anal Sacc Tumor which her vet caught very early. The next week she underwent surgery to remove it. She came through with flying colors and Truoanion paid more than $2100 on the $2700 bill, less the deductible and other expenses not related. I was amazed at how swiftly they handled this..it's my first experience with pet insurance ever-should have had Trupanion years ago!

disappointed
They are going out of their way to relate everything to a pre existing condition. At least they covered his thyroid medication. Had two months before they decided his new issue with his liver is because of his pre existing seizures. Vets have stated in the medical records they are not related, but healthy paws still denies coverage. Can't wait to see how they respond to this review. I am sure it will be very nicely worded and deny any fault or deception.

Finally affordable pet insurance
Mister our bull mastiff staff shire mix tore his crucial ligament. I was very happy with the coverage of ASPCA, they covered the x rays and the sugary in a timely manner. Also received 2 follow up calls to be sure that I was satisfied. I have told all my friends that have pets.

When I submitted Sophie's claim for a UTI I had NO idea she had several before. She is my rescue and the shelter never informed me of her condition. It wasn't until after she was treated by my vet and I submitted the claim that I came to find out of previous issues. I am working with my vet to try to prevent any UTI from coming back. I don't think it was fair of your company do deny me coverage of this condition. In the past with my other dogs you have been prompt with the claims.

As advertised!
I have never purchased pet insurance before, but decided to get it for our standard poodle, who was a few months old at the time. I took care of all my preliminaries right away, so as not to have concerns later. I made clear between Embrace and myself what preexisting conditions there were and moved on from there. So now, not quite a year into this and our dog took and ate a bunch of raisins. (The only thing he has ever taken off a counter!) Well that landed him in the hospital for 3 straight days getting an IV to push the toxins through. I was mostly impressed with Embrace and the speed and payment of the claims. I did have to go back and have our vet fill out a fair bit of paperwork, but it all worked out well. On occasion Embrace does so down processing for no apparent reason, this is the only reason I will not give them a a perfect 10. Most claims paid in about 2 weeks but a few longer than 3 weeks. Their payments on the claims were EXACTLY what I expected it to be. With lots of unknowns out there I am glad to say that the process and benefits were what Embrace said they would be.
