Awesome job!

Extremely helpful in all departments. Not only did everyone make us feel at ease when our dog had his surgery, but were very supportive & knowledgeable through the entire process. We feel like our Great Dane is as safe as possible with Trupanion. Kate Paisley & Jennifer Dupre are awesome! Keep up the great work.

Excellent Insurance and Customer Service

We strongly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Our 2 year old lab needed TPLO surgery, which is extensive and expensive. Healthy Paws processed the claims leading up to it and after quickly and accurately. They are professional and compassionate. I have already recommended HP insurance to my friends and the bank tellers when I deposit the reimbursement checks.

A very good program - definitely worth it!

After paying big bucks on operations for our previous dog, we decided to go with ASPCA Pet Insurance for our new dog. We paid the insurance for 6 years thinking that perhaps we made the wrong choice. Then our much loved Shepherd got 'the bloat', a life threatening condition. ASPCA paid for nearly everything. Then a year later, she torn the ligaments in her knee. The operation brought her back to normal again. This was followed by the removal of 3 cysts a year later. ASPCA paid for most of each incident. We realized that without the insurance, we would have been asking if this was the end for our dog. ASPCA always calls a couple weeks after the incident to find out if everything is okay - they seem like they really care about the outcome. They don't cover everything, but when you need them the most, they are there for you. It's definitely worth it!

Outstanding and Caring Service

I got the best news possible Wednesday evening that my dog does not have cancer! We are overjoyed! Prior to this I was faced with an incredibly difficult decision. I was told that an ultrasound revealed multiple tumors on my dogs spleen, one that was 1ft long. They told me that my dog probably had hemangiosarcoma and may not live very much longer. The high estimate for surgery to remove her spleen was almost $9,000. Along with dealing with the absolute devastation of a cancer diagnosis I was scrambling trying to figure out how I could afford surgery. Many people faced with an incredibly expensive surgery and a potential life expectancy afterwards of 3-6 months may opt for euthanasia. That thought breaks my heart for every single person that has to make that decision. It was the hardest and most painful hours of my life and having and trusting Healthy Paws was at least a small comfort in such a difficult time. I knew from previous experience that I could trust them. After things calmed down and I had my dog home from surgery I submitted the $5,700 claim along with another $400 claim from the week before. They had the claims processed in less than 24 hours which was an incredible relief. I received the checks today which is Friday. That's less than 5 business days from when I submitted it. I have never had any problems with this company. They are absolutely wonderful! Even if you don't meet your deductible for the year be happy that you A. Have a healthy pet B. Are supporting and honest company providing a wonderful service for our best friends and C. Are helping save someone else's pets life! For me less than $50/month is beyond necessary to never have to decide between surgery or euthanasia.

What other company pays hospital directly?!

Answer: NONE! Not having to wait for reimbursement is major progress in the world of pet insurance. My Shep mix recently had surgery to remove an anal sac tumor. Estimate was $4700. Instead of having to come up with the money or charge it, Trupanion was able to pay the hospital directly and I only had to pay my 10% (deductible was already met). Just think about that for a minute .... that's major! I picked my boy up 2 days later after surgery and because the hospital took a deposit larger than my portion due to Trupanion, I actually ended up with a credit on my account. How awesome is that!? Trupanion's claims experience alone is worth every dime. The fact that their coverage is so comprehensive makes it the best of the bunch for sure!

Wonderful experience

We purchased this insurance for our Morkie who was six years old a and our concern was that she possibly had esophagus problems. She fortunately did not have this problem, but unfortunately while being playful and running in the yard, she ruptured her cruciate ligament. We submitted a bill for close to $4,000 and were reimbursed appropriately within two weeks. Very happy with their service. Very prompt and courteous.

Best pet insurance company hands down

I have three dogs insured with Trupanion and I have always had the best service They are easy to talk to, very responsive to calls and messages. I have a dog who has been diagnosed with Addisons disease and has had a hip replacement. My chihuahua ate a peach pit and and had to have a foreign body surgery. My third dog has been lucky so far but I know that Trupanion will be there if anything comes up. Amazing company, no other compares!.
