Wellness, Injury & Illness Insurance

The claim process is very simple! My vet emails me my receipts so it's easy to just upload them into my ASPCA account. I love that my puppy's plan covers wellness visits as well.

Just great!

Embrace is incredibly affordable so much so that you would think "What's wrong here?" But nothing is wrong! I've been with Embrace for almost 2 years and have absolutely no complaints! The quickness with which claims are processed is incredible! Under a week each and every time. I haven't had any reason to call but every e-mail interaction has been nothing but pleasant. Thank you, Embrace!

A small price to pay...

If you wonder whether paying each month for pet insurance is worth it, I say YES...it is a small price to pay, when and if you need to file a claim for a $2600 surgery! Embrace has been absolutely great in handling my dog's claims and making sure I had the money back in my bank account before I had to pay the credit card payment. They were always available to answer my questions and alleviate all my concerns.

Definitely the right choice

My jack russell-pug mix gets himself into ear infections on a yearly basis which are always covered. I give the form to my vet who faxes it to Embrace and I get emails telling me they got the claim and that it's been covered and to log on to see the results of the claim. It's so great! The customer service via email and phone calls are amazingly helpful. I recommend Embrace to everyone with an animal.

Frustrating and Costly

We started with AKC Insurance when our dog was a pup. Premiums were reasonable, just over $30 a month for sick coverage only. Around age 3-4 she had some health issues and claims that were covered reasonably, though never near what we were paying the vets in a metro area. Even though our dog had very few claims after that and was quite healthy, the rates more than doubled when she turned 7, then doubled again at age 10 (AKC told us this is normal), and finally increased to over $2,000 this past March (and this does NOT include wellness care!!). Everyone else we've talked to with pet insurance is shocked at what we are paying. Since our dog has been quite healthy for most of her life, we considered dropping the insurance this year just before she turned 12. In May she developed a neurological condition and we were glad we still had insurance, however, it recently took four months for $3,500 in costs to be processed and paid at just over $2,000. Because of the number of calls, faxes and communications required of my vet to process the claims, my vet has had to charge us separately for her administrative time. She believes the insurance company seem to be trying to avoid or delay paying on claims. And she finds AKC to be the most difficult insurance company to deal with. Furthermore, we've discovered that any condition a pet has is limited to a $3,000 lifetime incidence limit!! Be sure to read the fine print in the policy. There are many exclusions and limits that you wouldn't expect. Premiums are going up and coverage is going down. And the claims process has become quite time consuming and frustrating.

Healthy Paws rates 10+

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is amazing! They have paid over $10,400. (ten thousand four hundred dollars) for my dog's surgeries since July 2016. It's easy to send in a claim, I take a picture of the bill with my iPad and send it in (no forms to fill out) they always respond quickly. Customer Service is excellent!!! I am very happy with how my claim was handled, I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance.

Healthy Paws stomps the competition!

I have both my Frenchies insured with Healthy Paws and I wouldn't change that for anything! I've unfortunately had quite a few claims and HP reviews them quickly and I have a check in my hands within 2 weeks. It's utterly amazing. I just take a picture of the invoice with my phone and upload it on their app. No claim forms and zero hassle. It's amazing. There is NO other pet insurance that compares. Period. Thank you Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! A++++++++

Claim..

Just want to say it took a couple times to get the claim delivered by fax but after that things went smoothly. I had a different company before so I just needed to adjust! I had taken Molly to the vet to check her eye as she was wiping it many times. The vet took care of her issue and the insurance backed their claims up by quickly reviewing and following through. I had requested that they confirmed faxed paperwork and that was done quickly. I feel they have done a good job!

Embrace has been (almost) all we could hope for!

Our 12 year old Pit Mix, Brandy, was listless, had no appetite, a touch of diarrhea. All of these a very out of character for this still energetic girls with a good appetite. The vet ran lots of tests that were inconclusive. But also found dehydration and gave a big dose of sub-cutaneous fluids. The total for all the tests, xrays, procedures, and substances was around $500! And Embrace covered it all. The only reason I've given them a 9, instead of 10, was that they considered our earliest claim to be for a "pre-existing condition." Too complicated for this space, but we'd only adopted Brandy a couple days when we signed up for the insurance so it seemed pretty harsh.
