I'm honestly looking into filing a lawsuit against Embrace for their bad faith practices. I submitted documentation and a letter from my Dog's doctor and a appeal was reversed, but they still try to look for every reason to deny a claim. So my claim was denied twice for the same reason when my Dog's doctor proved that any pre-existing conditions are not related. HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bubble-wrap animal for first 30 days, or don't let anything get diagnosed at least.
I signed up my younger dog for Trupanion after our cat passed, b/c Trupanion is expensive. We're now staring down the barrel of a lymphoma diagnosis and even the blood test to find out if he has friggin cancer is rejected b/c it's less than 30 days since signup. We're about to get "pre-existing condintion"'d into oblivion after over a decade with Trupanion. I'm about to cancel the new policy and if our older dog wasn't SO old that it's actually worthwhile I'd cancel that too. Hope y'all feel good about yourselves.

So far I have had great experience with Embrace
I have been with Embrace for 6 years since my dog was a puppy. Submitting claims has always been an easy process. I am hoping they continue to approve and process claims as they have been doing since I started with them. I have recommended them to many of my friends and family and it seems they are starting to deny claims. So far I have not had any issues, so hopefully those were isolated issues because that is the reason I switched from my previous provider

With no claims submitted this past year, my monthly rate increased by 50% for the upcoming year. I can't understand why so much of an increase.

I have had pet insurance with Trupanion…
I have had pet insurance with Trupanion for almost 11 years. I have just added a new puppy. My experience with them has been stellar. Of course I paid many years without needing them, but that is always the hope (as with all insurance), that you will not need it. But when I did, they were very quick and very helpful…as for not speaking to anyone in Canada … only yesterday I spoke with a very kind young lady who lives just a few miles from me :). As for expense … all insurance is expensive…. But they treat you right and my dogs are worth it
