took awhile
customer service was great. It just took a lot longer for the claim to be reviewed. Suppose to be 10 to 15 business days took mine almost 20. Other than that it was approved and had check within a week

Excellent Insurance
We have been dealing with Nationwide (VPI) for at least 9 years. After owning 2 cats and knowing the expense for pets when they sick I got pet insurance for our dog Bella within weeks of owning her. I choose Nationwide (VPI)because it was the highest rated. Now my dog has cancer and has needed surgery and is undergoing chemo, not to mention having two teeth pulled, radiographs, x-rays and biopsies. I am so happy to say Bella is doing great now, she is so perky and alive and we hope her truly improved quality of life will continue. Nationwide sure has done its share, picking between 70- 80% of the cost and always being available over the phone to discuss various benefits of our policy and the status of submitted claims. The representative is always very empathetic and helpful (even if it is not exactly the answer I am looking for). Nationwide has truly been a financial partner in this ordeal and over the 9 years we have owned this insurance. Nationwide consistently pays for itself. Never have I had to argue my case this is really pet health insurance that covers a lot of expenses. I offered to provide this recommendation and have been telling everyone I know that pet insurance is a must. Of course it is best to buy it when you first get your pet. So I (and my dog) are very happy with Nationwide and urge everyone to consider buying pet insurance. I would not own a pet without it. Yes: "I've been compensated by Nationwide for my honest review" but I would write this without compensation and the compensation $5 is really more of a thank you than an incentive.

I love Embrace!
We have both our dogs covered with Embrace, while they have always been generally healthy in the past year they both had odd illnesses pop up. Earlier this year, our lab had a bad cough and was breathing heavily with what turned out to be allergies. Just recently, our 9 year old Doberman collapsed and is having heart issues. Not only did Embrace reimburse us for the expensive tests that had to be done, but their claims portal was so clear and up to date along the way, it made the entire process so much more reassuring for us in a time when we have been very stressed out about their health. After hearing horror stories from friends about their experiences with pet health insurance, I feel so incredibly fortunate that the research I did paid off and Embrace has been nothing short of amazing.

Wonderful Experience
When we brought home our golden doodle pup at 9 weeks old a friend who had a one year old puppy told us we should invest in dog insurance. She had not done so and was already out of pocket over $1,500 in the first year. We decided to invest in the insurance and thank goodness we did. Our pup got very sick after she was spayed and we found out she was born with two under developed kidneys. She has been diagnosed with renal dysplasia and may not live past 3 yrs old. As sad as this is we have been very grateful for Nationwide. They have been beyond amazing. Our claims are reviewed within 3 days and a check is sent within 10 days. I even get an email once in a while to ask how Curry is doing. Well I think I personally need this dog insurance as my medical health insurance does not care one bit about me. I have told everyone I know about this company and referred all my friends to Nationwide. I was so worried upon the first renewal that Curry would not be eligible for another year of insurance but this was not the case...we are into our second year.

Worth every penny!
Yes this insurance helps with expenses but more importantly it eases my mind and allows me to focus on the wellness of my family member. No more deliberating about what might be an issue or not due to the high price of a simple office visit. This insurance allows me to act in the best interests of my dog, not my wallet. At first I thought the monthly premium was more than I should be spending because my dog was healthy, until he was not and I am oh so glad I kept the insurance. I will never again be without my ASPCA pet insurance.

Aspca Insurance is very customer friendly
I have only been a customer for 3 months and submitted a claim 2 weeks ago. It has already been paid. Their customer service personnel are very friendly and easy to work with. Additionally they are very concerned with my cats health. I also found their monthly premiums to be the most reasonable. If only my own health insurance company worked the same way.

Some what disappointed but yet still pleased
I was pleased that I did receive my claim pay out but I was some what disappointed it was so low. I paid over $300 dollars for my dog who had hook worms. I only received 24.84 when my plan says I will receive 80% of what I paid back. I do however really like the company and have always had positive interactions with them. I also appreciate the affordability of the plans.

I'm so thankful for Embrace!
Since the very beginning, the Embrace team has been the epitome of helpful - patient and thorough with explanations, friendly and very resourceful. My pup was recently taken in for surgery to remove a potentially malignant tumor. The Embrace team - from initial call to understand coverage all the way through the final claim, was wonderful. They always inquired about how my dog was doing and were immensely kind to me as well, a blessing during a scary and sad time. They care and it shows. I had some questions during the final claim processing and Ashley Perez who was supporting me was unfailingly helpful. She helped me understand some things about my case and also helped me understand some things in the policy. She never once said "please go read your policy." She actually helped! I'm beyond thankful for the financial support of Embrace, but more importantly, for the friendly personal support they provided during a trying time. I'm SO thankful to have them on my team!

Pleasant and Very Helpful
Every interaction I've had with Embrace customer service reps has been extremely pleasant, helpful and involved zero fuss. My first serious reliance on this insurance did take a bit of time to process, but with a follow up call it was taken care of right away. I received a check for the correct amount (less deductible and my percentage obligation) very shortly afterwards. With 4 aging fur kids, it provides extraordinary peace of mind to know I have Embrace insurance for whatever may arise. Wish I'd had it all along. To those considering ... do it. You'll be glad you did.
