Very very great pet insurance to have!
I recently started using Healthy Paws and shortly after getting the policy, our dog needed a major surgery. I was so happy with the process for filing a claim and the speed at which everything was taken care of. No questions asked - I just submitted the documents online and within a few days I had an email back with details and the answer that the surgery and all the follow-up appointments were covered. I had the check in the mail within another week or so. And I even got a follow-up email from them asking me how our dog was doing! Overall, super impressed by how quick and easy everything was and how great their customer service team is.

Embrace your pets!
We've had embrace for our Labrador Retriever Dante for three years now. He had a partial knee ligament tear and was receiving acupuncture treatments for about a year until it became too aggravated and had to have knee surgery. Embrace covered 80% of the treatments and the surgery. All claims have been approved and paid rather quickly. We are very glad we made the decision to insure our fur baby early on.

I cannot say enough about the compassion and empathy I received from Healthypaws during my beloved dogs recent illness. The Sunday before Easter he had been regurgitating all day by evening we took him to animal critical care where he was xrayed and it was thought he had swallowed something which was blocking the outflow duct of his stomach. He was very sick and dehydrated. We were told to have him Xrayed the next day by our vet. He was and she immediately performed surgery only to find out he had thickening of his GI tract which would not allow anything to pass through thus the regurgitating. I was devastated and so afraid I couldn't financially provide him with the care he needed. The bill from the critical care was 1200+ dollars and my vet was 2700+. Healthypaws to the rescue. They paid all but about 500.00 of that 4000.00 and very quickly. One claim was even processed the same day. I thought I was going to lose him, but with prayer and the kindness of my vet, who allowed us time to pay on balances incurred after the first, he is on the mend. He is only 6 and I was not ready to lose him. I implore anyone who has fur babies to purchase quality pet insurance for that peace of mind. The small monthly premium is well worth it. I had another pet insurance prior to Healthypaws, but I will be a customer for life.

After losing a young Doodle to sudden massive liver failure, left with nothing but a huge bill to pay, we decided to sign up with Embrace when we got our next Doodle. We have not regretted it once. Embrace has always processed our claims quickly and fairly, and we have great peace of mind knowing that in the unfortunate event we are left with huge vet bills, we won't have to cover them on our own. There were unneccessary delays.
This was my first claim in the nearly 2 years I have been with Embrace. It seemed as though the people I spoke with didn't really know what was going on with my claim. The website provided little information other than Embrace was waiting for additional information. However, when I spoke with one of the representatives, I was told the additional information had already been received and they would be processing my claim. That did not happen until my last call when I asked to speak with a manager and she made sure it got done. Thank you Jessica. I like to give people a second chance which is why I would recommend Embrace. Hopefully, I won't have another reason to file a claim, but if I do, I hope they will be a bit more responsive and resolve issues quickly.

Honestly no help at all
I have to say I'm disappointed, I had an absolute horrible experience with this company. I don't get how some people get their pets medical bills covered and other don't. I was told by a vet to use trupanion because they are the best, well I was given a monthly sign up for my first month free and I was told I was absolutely cover no matter what. well I waited for the email to come through and when it didn't and I called it was too late and my puppy wasn't covered like they promised. I had to pay 4000 up front. so I thought that maybe it was a mistake somewhere I guess we will still get the insurance and wait the month. we did and have been paying monthly since. my dog had to get X-rays and medication and once again not covered. I didi the math and if I didn't pay trupanion and saved the money it would have paid for the bills. don't trust anyone who works at trupanion most of the people that answer the calls don't know what is going on. I have decided to cancel before I lose any more of my hard working money

We had an emergency with our Labrador …
We had an emergency with our Labrador and had go to a vet hospital out of town for surgery immediately. There was no time for pre-authorization and when I called Trupanion the person said that we probably had nothing to worry about and have the surgery done as it would qualify as an emergency. She was right - Trupanion covered the surgery and the dog is doing great.
