Peace of Mind for Every Bark and Bump
I’ve had MetLife Pet Insurance for about a year and a half now for my pup, Coco, and I continue to be so impressed by the care and consistency of this company. Just last week, I took Coco in for her annual wellness appointment. I submitted my claim the same day, and within three days, the reimbursement had already hit my account. It was fast, seamless, and just… easy. That’s not something I take for granted when it comes to insurance! What I really appreciate about MetLife is how reliable and responsive they are. Their site and app are intuitive, they always follow through, and they include thoughtful touches that remind me they’re more than just a business — they’re a team that cares. Every time I submit a claim, I get a message checking in: “First, is your dog okay?” That kind of human-centered approach means a lot. When I first signed up (based on a friend’s recommendation), I had no idea how quickly I’d need the coverage. Just weeks later, Coco ended up in the emergency vet after eating sticks and rocks at the park — poor thing had to be hospitalized and put on IV fluids. It was scary, but knowing MetLife was going to cover 90% of that bill after my deductible brought huge peace of mind. And they did. No hassle, no drama, just support. Name Should Be HartLESS
Like many others, my cats policies are being transferred from 24 Pet Watch to Hartsville and the experience has been an absolute horrible nightmare. Hartville has stated they intend to increase monthly premiums by 150% to 200% or more, literally doubling and tripling the price, and they have absolutely no problem in doing so, they are treating 24 Pet Watch customers like garbage, telling 24 Pet Watch customers take it or leave it and that they are doing us a favor, acting like we should be thanking them for taking over the policies and up to tripling the price. I'm terrified to find out what the claims denial process will be like because the experience with Hartsville has been a total nightmare. Their name shoudl be HartLESS,

They tripled the premiums for my dog from $74/month to $255/month and since they don’t sent statements I didn’t notice until I saw my bake statement and it was too late.

The claim process requires very little time. Payment is fast.
Great call center service.
When I did call the call center the service was great. Sending an email on my issue did not get a timely response so I did have to call. Uploaded documents disappeared or claim was denied in error. A recent claim was somehow added twice under two different claim numbers. Issues have been technical issues that can be quickly resolved with a phone call.

Pets Best is the best
When my dog had pancreatitis and GI surgery in the same two week span, I wasn't stressed because Pets Best makes the claim process incredibly easy. I submitted my invoices on the app (took all of 5 minutes) and was notified about my claims within two weeks. After meeting my deductible, Pets Best handled exactly what my plan stated they would. They have NEVER tried to fight me or short me. Highly recommend.
Our Service from Pets Best is Exemplary
We have had an excellent experience with Pets Best insurance since joining. Our beloved kitty Dexter got very ill last August, and the company was great at promptly replying to and paying nearly every claim we made, allowing us to be able to provide him with the best care possible. He died on May 29th, which was nearly a year longer than we'd thought he'd be with us, and again, Pets Best helping us to afford his medication gave us that extra time. We made a claim to help pay for the expenses around his death, not realizing they didn't pay for such things (many companies do) but they were kind and sent condolences when telling us it was denied, and they also cancelled his policy for us - luckily, as we were a mess and grieving and would have forgotten. We are absolutely satisfied overall with Pets Best, which is the best pet insurance company we've ever dealt with. We recommend it highly.
