Healthy Paws - Exceptional Service!!!
I can’t say enough good things about our Healthy Paws experience! Unfortunately our young shepherd didn’t make it through a fast moving bout with encephalitis, as we racked up over $4000 of vet bills over a period of 3 days. Healthy Paws honored everything their plan says it covers and they did it in a very expedient manner. Each claim we submitted, they processed within 24 hours and we received our checks within a week. Also, when they noticed on one of our claims that our pet had to be euthanized, they automatically closed his policy and sent a personalized condolences note along with well wishes for our other dog. In reading some of the negative reviews given to Healthy Paws, several sound like they were misunderstandings of the terms. This is not a preventative maintenance/wellness plan. It is an insurance plan designed to cover unexpected situations that arise with your pets. Healthy Paws covered our prescriptions, diagnostic test and any other treatment associated with the care of our pet during these difficult times. They do not cover exams but that is clearly stated in the contract. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone seeking quality pet insurance. Sign up early while your pet is young and healthy. You will have the peace of mind knowing that you can allow your vet to run the gamut of tests necessary to diagnose your pet properly while being protected financially from any unexpected issues that arise with your pet in the future. Healthy Paws covers 90% of these issues after a small deductible.

Staff were very professional and nice
My precious had gone blind went to see about it. My regular doctor sent me to a specialist. Just told me to get 800.00 or more for tests was in and out in 15 min. Called my insurance to see if I could go to a different doctor and they told me I had the right to go where I wanted. I found a doctor that took an x-ray and told me that my dog would be blind for the rest of her life. But also she had an inflammation through her intestines. and gave me medicine special diet. she is doing good, and I only had to pay 325.00 instead of over a thousand. ASPCA was there for me.

Thank goodness for pet insurance!!!!
Our youngest lab has had idiopathic head tremors since she's been two years old. After she turned six she had a full blown seizure which involved more extensive testing. Nine months later she had a second fullblown seizure at which time they diagnosed her as epileptic and we started her on seizure meds. Her internist noticed slight elevations over the years in her ALT enzyme and recommended a liver biopsy to rule out Copper Toxicity. Her recent pathology from the liver biopsy confirmed she suffers from Copper Associated Hepatopathy. We've started treating her with meds that will hopefully reverse this and possibly her seizures will resolve.. We are hopeful that this may have always been the underlying illness. Thankfully since we have pet health insurance we don't think twice about taking our dogs to the vet for treatment and in this case we have hopefully given her the chance to live a full long life!!!! We love our dogs soooo much!!!!!

I called as I was questioning why it too longer this time to pay on a claim for my pet which has already been approved in the past.
I called as I was questioning why it too longer this time to pay on a claim for my pet which has already been approved in the past. The customer service representative said she saw the claim was open, but that they had a high call volume and were training new people?? However, my prior claims for this same condition have been accepted and paid within 3 days?? Hoping it doesn't take too much longer!! I pay my monthly premium as soon as I receive it, no matter what.
