Pets Best has been a life saver for my dog that has just had awful luck with illness and injuries. I am not sure he would still be with me had I not had this insurance. They have paid 90% and I have had no issues getting paid. Payments always seem to make it to my account before the credit card bill is due.

This is a terrible insurance company
This is a terrible insurance company. They claimed "pre-existing condition" for something that was never indicated on my rescued pet (balls never descended so when he was neutered it was an invasive surgery and expensive).

I wish my health insurance was this good.
I wish my health insurance was this good. I got my pup Embrace pet insurance three years ago when he was about three months old. I haven't had any serious dog problems (knock wood) but every time I submit a claim, I am reimbursed, or provided with a valid reason why not, within 48 hours. They don't cover everything as much I would like (who does) but they are not sneaky about what is and is not covered and they don't make you request reimbursement three times before sending the check (I'm talkin to you fepblue.org).

The people I spoke to were very helpful and friendly. And obviously based in North America. No language barries.

I can call Pets Best my family
Great service, fast and easy. I would highly recommend.
Look elsewhere
We started our policy when we got a new puppy, who ran into a handful of medical issues. Our vets/pet hospitals insist they've provided all required medical records, and ASPCA insists they never received them. All claims denied.

Chief's claims are consistently denied…
Chief's claims are consistently denied or not paid correctly. His chronic ear infections and skin allergies were deemed to be pre-existing, which Embrace would have never even known had I not provided his vet records prior to me even rescuing or owning him. Ever since, if there is any mention of an ear re-check, the rest of the claim, like dental cleaning, is not paid in full or correctly.

Very rocky overall
Very rocky overall. This company has been spotty all around, and even worse in the cancellation process. The app and chat features don’t work, and fun fact - once I deleted the app from my phone and canceled my plan I was no longer able to find the app in the Apple store! So no ability to leave any honest reviews about its complete lack of functionality, but it does reflect the extreme inaccessibility of this company. It took four attempts to chat, and two calls to cancel, along with a follow up for the confirmation and refund! Not to mention, the breakdown of deductibles is PER CONDITION PER ANIMAL. I took my bulldog to get cherry eye surgery and they advised the claim was covered but that the surgery only counted towards the deductible of THAT ailment. NOT the policy overall and not for the animal overall. When my kitten was killed, I had to again call and fight for my claim to be picked up and processed, to which they responded ‘well if she died your policy doesn’t cover death fees’… as if I hadn’t already submitted a claim for the hospital visit for injuries leading up to the death, so clearly they hadn’t processed/read. This company is a joke all around, and full scam level on the way out. It’s clear why they’ve dropped from the Top 10 lists.
