Healthy Paws is the Best Pet Insurance on the Market!
My late (and so great) Yorkie had myriad health issues throughout her 15-year life, and since I didn't get her insured before they began, I ended up paying roughly $20k for her vet bills over the years. That's why I researched pet insurance carriers before I brought my new pup home in late 2018. Boy, did I choose the right company. When Bonzo needed tests (including an ultrasound) to determine why he was vomiting so frequently, Healthy Paws reimbursed almost all of the expense. When he needed a tooth extraction after fracturing it (still unknown how that happened), they covered 90% of the surgery and treatment. And when, a few weeks later, he developed a gastrointestinal issue that had me taking him to the vet a few times, I could focus on my dog's wellness without worrying about the financial hit, because Healthy Paws reimbursed 90% of the covered expenses within days. And when I got an email checking up on Bonzo? That made me smile. Healthy Paws is the best!

RUN AWAY! Literally any other business will be better
Absolutely terrible. They're looking out for themselves just like any insurance company, but this is NEXT LEVEL. It took us more than TWO MONTHS to get any sort of response back for our claim, which was ridiculous because they have a 14 day guarantee or something like that. I tried emailing and calling multiple times: never heard back via email and i never got through by phone because hold times were like an hour plus.
Then, they denied our claim because our dog's coronavirus (stomach bug) had a similar symptom to a food allergy he had months before (both times he had diarrhea even though the situations were totally unrelated). I totally understand pre-existing conditions aren't covered and I honor that, but beware: They will milk that "pre-existing condition" stipulation and will interpret that so broadly and cruelly that you'll be left with nothing and you will wonder why you're paying them every month.

Using Lemonade is simple and quick and such a relief to have.

Healthy Paws Rocks!
My dog Leo is 6 years old and has had a policy with Healthy Paws for his whole life. We've had to file several claims over his life, a couple of them being substantial because of surgery. Each claim was super easy and no hassle at all. I just simply pulled out my phone, opened up the Healthy Paws app, took a picture of the invoice, and within a matter of days I was reimbursed via direct deposit.
Just having peace of mind knowing that my dog can get medical care without me having to worry about extensive bills is beyond wonderful.

So happy I went with Trupanion for my Goldendoodle
I got Trupanion for my dood since he was a puppy and he has had several bouts of stomach issues and diarrhea that requires prescription and a good bits of testing. Trupanion has covered 80% of most of that and the claim process after the first one takes about 2 days average to finish and I don't even have to call them or anything. Will stick with Trupanion from now on.
