My boy Bullit

My boy Bullit, a pitty, recently had knee surgery. You hear all the crazy stories how pet insurance takes so long to pay out and how long the process takes. Not with Spot! I loaded up the forms needed, the invoices needed, gave the info needed, and I could track the process of my claim. I had no issues at all. No phone calls needed and payment was in my bank account in about a week. I definitely recommend having this peace of mind insurance for your beloved furry member.

Horrible insurance that I currently…

Horrible insurance that I currently have. When filing a claim for reimbursement, I’m informed after six months of payments, but there’s a 30 day hold because I need to review my pets medical history for the last year before they can cover a hospital visit for him ingesting a foreign body. Like how could eating a piece of plastic have anything to do with a pre-existing condition or the fact that when I got the insurance I asked them to get my pets medical history for the last year which they did but apparently I didn’t ask them to also review it so now that I filed a claim, I have to wait 30 days for them to review the information before they can even look at the claim or try to make a decision. Worst pet insurance I’ve ever had anywhere I should’ve never have changed to this company go somewhere else don’t end up screwed like I am.

Multiple issues

Claims take way too long to be reviewed and God forbid if they need further documentation because then they won't look at for another 2 weeks. I also dislike that when I make a separate claim for one pet and then a separate claim for the second pet the same day then somehow they get combined and it's a mess. And if I make a different claim the next day, somehow it gets thrown on to a previous claim. I also don't appreciate how when a claim is finally completed it appears MetLife has the option to go back and change the determination and seemly erase it had previously been completed and approved. This happened to me where a claim was used towards my deductible and I therefore had met the deductible and so the next claim I got a small payment. Well, several weeks later now someone went back to that claim and denied the claim so those charges no longer went towaeds my deductible, which I can't believe an adjuster would actually have the time to review previous completed claims when they take FOREVER to work the ones that need to be completed. Maybe that's the problem IDK. Also, the App is a nightmare. Constantly having to get an authentication code by email. EVERY single time. Can't use the code by text option because I never receive a code, not that a text vs.email code makes that much difference. But the app has a 'Remember Me' click box...and it's worthless. Normally that function would mean you want the technology to remember you and your phone so you don't have to continue to get authentication codes. Doesn't happen. There are so many issues I've experienced I can't write them all here. One good thing though is that most of the representatives are nice and pleasant, although they do give incorrect information and timelines and excuses. And they cannot contact anyone about your claim, they are very limited as what they can tell you and help you with Only had one or two who were not as friendly.
