WARNING - Sharp premium increases as your dog ages or has long term health issues
Warning! Be prepared for steep jumps in premiums as your pet ages & has more health care needs. We are long-time customers of Healthy Paws pet insurance & just got notice our premium is going to jump from $146.71 to $1,210.83 a month. That’s an increase of 725%. Assuming this unbelievable jump in cost had to be a mistake, we contacted Healthy Paws & this was their response: “In the face of steeply rising costs and other veterinary industry developments in WA, after careful consideration, Healthy Paws will be replacing your current pet health insurance coverage...” Even though vet prices may be increasing, that does not justify a 725% increase in premiums. We believe our aging dog, who had cancer surgery this past year, is no longer profitable enough for Healthy Paws. This appears to be a pet insurance company that pushes out dogs as they age & need more frequent vet care. It looks like their focus on profits outweighs their compassion for pets & their owners.

Forgive me for not recalling the name of the agent that assisted me, however he was excellent explained very clearly and quickly what it was the policy covered. I was very comfortable with what was quoted and being that it was affordable, went ahead and covered the policy for the year. I feel good about obtaining coverage for my pet. Who is now a member of my family. And appreciate that there is even such an option to cover anything that may potentially come up regarding her health. Overall, My time on the phone and applying for her coverage was stellar and I appreciate the excellent customer service.

The wait times are way too long and they don’t cover enough things. Also pre-existing conditions should be covered, that is a scam.

10 month old Pomeranian vs Pit Viper
My pup, Orry, recently was bitten by a venomous snake. Our whole world was sent into a tailspin for the next 6 days. After getting anti venom on board at our local veterinarian, we were rushed to an Animal ER over an hour away. Orry spent the next 5 nights receiving life saving care! You can only imagine the enormous bill! But thank goodness for FETCH. I uploaded all of my medical records and invoices. I had my reimbursement checks within 4 days of submitting! I could not ask for better insurance for my babies! FETCH to the rescue in one of the scariest moments for me as a pet mom! I cannot thank FETCH enough!

Exceeded expectations
This is the first time I've ever had pet insurance. My work offered it and we had just welcomed a new pup into our life so figured it was a good time to try it out. Unfortunately, shortly after our pup had had to have major surgery. I was really surprised at how easy it was to submit claims (even on smart phone), more surprised at how quickly they were processed, and and even more surprised at how much of those claims were reimbursed only days after submission

The SPOT agents were sincerely empathetic about my dog surgery. They were easy to work with and made the process go smoothly. I've had different insurance and by far SPOT is my better choice
