Too expensive, but they take care of you
I love the coverage I get and how easy it is to submit a claim and be refunded, but I dont like that my premiums doubled in price this year. I have found somewhere else that will offer the same coverage for half the price and I think I may switch for that reason.

Nationwide is terrible
Not easy to file a claim. Every claim is not picked and you find a way to deny it. I feel like I’m stuck with you now but if I could leave for a different company I would. Awful customer service and you always try to wiggle out of paying claims.

I could not have afforded Lulu's surgery without Healthy Paws!
When I got my next dog (yorkie) after having to put down my sweet Lucy (yorkie), I knew I needed to get insurance. I spent probably $5,000 in the last two years of Lucy's life as she was in kidney failure. What I wouldn't have spent to keep her with me but I did not have ANY health insurance so I paid for everything out of pocket. My new Lulu began urinating a lot in the fall of 2018. Because I knew the symptoms and signs, off to the vet we went. It's been seven months later and she was finally diagnosed with MVD however the vet wanted to do a biopsy to be sure. The surgery alone cost $1,800 (not counting the previous vet bills) and Healthy Paws paid 90%!!! I cried as I could not have afforded it otherwise. I will ALWAYS have Healthy Paws pet insurance. The customer care and ease of reimbursement is the BEST! Thanks HP!

I am the poster child for why you should get pet insurance
We have two Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Mix females. Both have had some health issues and our insurance has come in so handy. Right after Easter this year, our Sadie (2 years old) began to exhibit signs of pain and difficulty walking. After evaluation it was determined that she had a disk herniate (it fully burst actually) and she had lost use and feeling of her hind quarters. Surgery in my eyes was the only option. I immediately called Nationwide and spoke to Jackie (x6480) to fill her in our what was happening and wanted to find out what was covered by our plan. JACKIE WAS AMAZING!!! She told me exactly what i needed to do, she called us to check on Sadie's status and once our final hospital bills were submitted, she filed an exception to have our claims expedited for reimbursement. I am so happy to say that our Sadie is getting stronger every day, she is now walking and running and regaining bathroom function. We would not be happier with her progress. It was so nice to not have have financial reasons impact our decisions on what was best for our girl. I always tell people to get pet insurance, they will not regret it!!

I am pleased with the insurance
I am pleased with the insurance. However it seems random when a refund is issued. It also takes s while for refunds to be processed. I’m not too sure of their criteria cuz I took my pet to get a second opinion about a muscle problem and it wasn’t covered because they deemed it a “chronic condition” even though it was not.

They delivered 100% on what they promised
I have the insurance for my dog since last year and a few weeks ago I had an emergency with my dog, and I am amazed how fast ASPCA responded and covered as my policy states. I will recommend ASPCA to all of my friends for sure. Thanks!
