I looked into many different insurance companies for our new puppy. ASPCA came highly recommended so I purchased insurance with them 1 week before receiving our new puppy thinking I was ahead of the game. She ended up having a UTI and Guardia which seem to be common in puppies. After sending in over $800 in claims, we find out that in small print there is in fact a 2 week waiting period before they pay any claims. On top of that, if anything was diagnosed within that 2 week waiting period, they will not cover even after your waiting period is over! This is absolutely ridiculous! You have to wait 6 months after puppy is cleared of any pre existing condition before they will even consider paying. I find this absolutely unnacceptable! I’m very disappointed.
