Could be more helpful
I don't know if this is standard policy, but I recently submitted my first claim. Healthy Paws is requesting ALL of my pet's vet medical bills EVER. It is a 3 part claim. The first 2 parts they didn't owe me anything, by their standards (it was under the deductible.) The 3rd part they wouldn't pay without all of his medical records. My guess is it's an attempt to see if there is any pre-existing condition which will means they won't have to pay (spoiler alert: there isn't.) They are also checking to make sure I had an exam within the first year of getting the insurance, which they tell you but they don't make you prove, since they can use it to null your coverage later and they will not have to refund you! Be careful!

Very helpful with submitting a claim
I was frustrated when trying to file my first claim. I called customer service and they were so helpful. Once I got everything submitted I was reimbursed very quickly, and the coverage was explained detail. I am very happy with the end result.

Trupanion is a great animal insurance.
Trupanion is a great animal insurance. When the cat I had prior was very sick, Trupanion paid all the bills and I felt relieved, even though she passed away because the vet screwed up. I miss her so very much.

I believe Trupanion is a professional corp. I’ve been a client less than a year and they have demonstrated that through both their coverage and superior client service.
Trupanion appears to be in the insurance industry, not simply the pet industry. As such, I view them not just as insurance for my pup, but also as important financial protection.
I’m a detail-oriented person and easily disappointed. So far, Trupanion has impressed me. From claim to reimbursement, the process was timely seamless.
