Great company!
We have had Trupanion insurance since the day we brought our dog Betty home. A week before her first birthday she had a series of cluster seizures. After numerous trips to 3 different veterinary hospitals she was finally diagnosed with epilepsy. Two of the hospitals bill Trupanion directly for her care. Our veterinarian does not so I had to file that claim myself. I followed the directions on the claim form and emailing them was easy. We received our reimbursement check(s) within two weeks of filing. I did have to call and ask several questions on the claim form and all my questions were answered by a friendly woman who was pleasant and professional. I was very impressed by her knowledge and willingness to assist me. Buying any type of insurance can be expensive but having coverage when dealing with high costs is invaluable. Trupanion saved us thousands of dollars for her care and diagnosis. I highly recommend Trupanion insurance.

The Easiest Claim and Reimbursement Process
Having pet insurance is a life saver, but having pet insurance that makes it easy to file claims and are prompt to reimburse makes PetsBest stand out from other insurance companies. I never have to worry about taking my dogs in for care because I know insurance will help cover those unexpected, or annual exams. They were great through my dog's CCL surgery, UTI's, and other illnesses and injury.
Best decision I've ever made
Top notch, I don't have experience with any other pet insurance companies, but Pet's Best is great. Relatively quick reimbursement and explanations.

I filed my claims in May 28, 2025 and received my first payment 6/23/2025. I understand the company had to get in touch with the vet about the claim, therefore; I understand the length of time. It was easy to file the claim. The website was easy to use. Thank you Pet Best for contacting me to inform me about the wait time on my claim and for informing me about the payment. Thank you also for the explanation of the bill. "
Trupanion - Great Pet Insurance!!!
My dog Ella was injured on this past Monday. Poor girl received a terrible cut on her leg while hiking. We went to our local emergency vet's office (Bend Animal Emergency and Speciality Center). I was so relieved to find out they now work directly with Trupanion. They were able to file the claim while were were there and it was a really easy process. Trupanion is doing a great job and I really appreciate that they could pay my emergency vet's office directly. I only wish my regular vet participated too. Thanks Trupanion for taking care of Ella!!!!!!

Healthy paws is a rip off and has terrible customer service. I've had them for 3 years, and i'm finally going to switch after too many frustrations. Several times, they don't reimburse the amount they should. And when you appeal it, they don't let you talk to a real person in claims to explain it -- you can only communicate via email (can't call or talk to anyone via phone) and it can take over a month to hear back. When you talk to someone in 'customer success' (not claims), they just tell you to send an email to the claims team. They typically don't speak english well and are reading off of a prompt, so it's like talking to a delayed and unhelpful chatbot.

Claim denied because they stated there was a six month waiting period for orthopedic issues. I don't see how an infection due to a foreign body in the paw is related to this. Seems like the company is all about denying claims.
