Great company! They have been super to me and my baby Sugar Bear. She has had her share of health problems and Nationwide has come through with many payments to help ease the burden of the vet bills! Fabulous!

Getting Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was the BEST decision I ever made!
I did extensive research comparing pet insurance before buying. I went with Healthy Paws. I only made 3 payments when my puppy had to have emergency surgery for an obstruction. Healthy Paws provided wonderful customer service prior to the operation. All I had to do was submit the bills and support documentation and i had the reimbursement check within a week! This is a great company!

Helpful for chronic illnesses or suprises
This policy is good for chronic illnesses or surprise illnesses or injuries. My cat was just diagnosed with diabetes. We met the deductible quickly and since then we've been reimbursed 80% of all other qualifying expenses (testing and supplies.) The first check took about a month to come through. When I called to inquire they said they were backed up with claims. But after that it hasn't been more than around 7 business days from the time I submit the claim until I get reimbursed. The only reason I didn't give this policy a 10 is because the premiums more than doubled not too long ago with no warning and no other options. That wasn't cool. But overall, I'm glad I have a policy for my cat.

Not sure this could have been worse.
Trupanion lost my first set of claim forms (2/18/19). Their site was broken so I couldn't get information on its status, and when I called in (3/19/19) they had me resend my forms. On 3/31 I find out a claim for Dog A was mistakenly listed for Dog B, so of course it was rejected! As of 4/6 status on my five invoices is: * pending * pending * pending * mishandled and therefore rejected Trupanion has been been absolutely awful. Any progress at all apparently needs constant prodding from their customers. Their reps are easy to get on the phone but getting a cogent response is like pulling teeth, and DO NOT BOTHER EMAILING. They don't appear to respond to emails at all. I'll update this review if there's some decent work done but outlook is NOT good. My dog is fine, but Trupanion needs some serious work!

I am happy with Natuonwide
I purchased pet insurance from Nationwide in January of this year. I have filed 2 claims since. One for an injury and one for dental cleaning under anesthesia. I filed both claims quickly and easily using the app. Both claims were completed in 3 weeks and a check in the mail a week later (can receive payment more quickly with direct deposit). I am happy with the service and knowledge my pet vet bills will be taken care of in the event of a serious illness or injury.

So Happy to have the Peace of Mind with Nationwide Pet
