I have a 6-month-old puppy that has had to go to the emergency room three times. I chose ASPCA health insurance for the pup, while my 11-year-old dog has Trupanion. They are the same in the time it takes to process a claim. However, ASPCA's reimbursement is much better than Trupanion's (which does not cover exam fees). Already, I've had more than $4,000 worth of expenses for my puppy and ASPCA has been fast, responsive, and worth the monthly cost.

We have a springier spaniel named Nano…
We have a springier spaniel named Nano who is now just 1 year old during his puppyhood he has hit his head and ate something he should not have. Thank god we purchased this insurance because each time the medical expense was large. Upon placing a claim and supplying the vets supporting documents within a couple of week we had reimbursement from them and almost to the full amount of the expense each time. deductions were made for special food but we were happy and will maintain Nanos insurance throughout his lifetime if we are able to afford it on our retirement income. Thank you AKC insurance for being there for us!!!!

They pay when you need them!
This insurance is awesome! Great customer service and claims. My puppy was diagnosed with hip dysphasia at 10 months. I have had insurance since she was 8 weeks, they are covering her bills at 90%!! For the rest of her life. Even the supplements she needs. I was worried they would not step up the the plate, but am so glad they did. I will get this insurance for every dog I ever own from now on!
