Denied coverage
I took my dog into the vet to preemptively check for hip displaysia. She is a rotwiller and german shepard mix. Come to find out she does have it. I filed the claim for the vet exams and a month later Pets Best denied my claim saying that documents from the vet suggested that symptoms had started before the insurance coverage started. This is the first time shes been seen by a vet other than shots and has never definite signs of having it. Hereditary conditions are covered under my insurance policy but there claims forms do not have that as a section so I had to file under illness/injury. Now if i don't fight their decision I could have to put my dog down if she starts showing signs of pain and it incapacitates her because I can't afford the surgery. I can't switch to a different insurance because now I know she has it and it I couldn't get coverage for her condition.

Our four-legged children.
Your pet is part of your family. They too can get sick or hurt. We have insurance on ourselves why not our four-legged family friends. When they get sick entreated it is comforting to know you have insurance on them that will help pay part of the bill. Knowing that is a happy piece of mind. You are able to take care of your four-legged loved one when the time comes. I would recommend this company to anyone cuz I am very pleased with it.

Hassle free and simple reimbursement for surgery
Quick summary: Submitting a claim with Healthy Paws is fast and easy and reimbursement took only 3 weeks with no hassle at all. My 1.5 year old lab/boxer mix had TPL surgery which cost ~$4K. I've been a customer of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance since Sept 2018. We signed up a few months after rescuing our pup. I submitted the claim a few days after his surgery and they requested his medical history which I provided a day later. The reimbursement was promptly posted to my bank account within a few days. Within 3 weeks of my pup's surgery, I was reimbursed 80% of the costs less a $250 deductible. What would have cost me $4K ended up costing only $1K. I had written off the $4K assuming there was going to be some insurance loophole as to why it wasn't covered under his policy. But, Healthy Paws reimbursed me with no problems at all. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for pet insurance.
