Helps out with covering unexpected vet visits!
I found Embrace through petinsurancequotes.com. I was torn between this provider and ASPCA, but I'm glad I chose Embrace. Having insurance with them has helped out with covering unexpected expenses for my two cats. Thankfully, I've only had to file claims a couple of times. Recently, one of my cats was having behavioral issues that I took him to the vet for, and Embrace covered nearly the whole visit (~$200)! The claim process was a little long, but the reimbursement was worth the wait. I only wish that the Wellness Rewards were a bit more affordable to cover routine expenses, but that's just something I'll need to budget for.

Not satisfied
I’ve been paying every month for a year, my dog has an accident, and I submitted everything to them, they denied the claim saying it wasn’t an accident when the veterinarians notes clearly said it was an accident for acute lameness. Long story short, after I placed a call to them, they are only paying out $41 and my bill was over 200. They said I would’ve got more if my dog was in the rewards program which nobody ever told me about and it would be more money that I would have to pay monthly. I canceled.

Very upset client.
I have 2 dogs my old one is know 14 years old & my young one is 3 years old the old one has been with Nationwide since she was 3 years old recently I have received a letter indicating since they are changing their policy meaning cancelling X Ray, blood tests,EKG, nationwide has charged me fool price every single mounts for the major medical plan & wellness for 11 years & know that my girl is 14 years old they are changing policies. Well done Nationwide your are indeed the most dishonest pet insurance in Southern California. Regards/Lida slater

Filing a claim is very easy
Filing a claim is very easy! Which is great because it means I’ve wasted little time getting my claim denied. At this point I just file to see if I can get even $0.05 out of them. I don’t, but I’m locked in for another year. Seriously, don’t bother with the company. All the add-ons and things sound nice but they will delay, deny, defend. Your pet being alive is a pre-existing condition. If you are stuck in a contract, use that time to build up funds in an HSA or high yield savings account. At least that way you know you have a real backup plan.

Reimbursement Turn Around
The Reimbursement turn around even with submitting all the details is AWFUL. I submitted a claim on 7/10 and got reimbursed incorrectly on 7/11 "due to a system failure." I called on 7/14 when I looked at the App and noticed the discrepancies on the reimbursement. I was told I shouldnt have even been reimbursed yet and that nobody else that submitted claims that day have been reviewed yet. She told me it would be reviewed by claims and get fixed within 3-5 days. I called back again after a few days and got some other lady who told me the same BS they tell everyone else "Claims take 5-10 buisness days but could take up to 30 days per our policy" couldn't give me a decent update just that it was sent back to claims for review. After 17 days go by I call back again and get the same BS answer above and no resolution. Mind you they have already reimbursed me previously for the same medication so why it takes this long to get reimbursed again is ridiculous. And the customer service is less then helpful and reads off their script. Better off going straight to management. I still have yet to receive a resolution or update as of August 5th... UPDATE: 8/8 ended up calling again as I still have received no resolution for Metlifes screw up on my claim. Talked to another gal in customer service who informed me that last 3 other times I called nothing had been pushed forward so she pushed it. Told me its going to take 3-5 days to review again. We are on 20 days now of a unresolved claim issue due to their system. And now I have to wait again another "3-5 days." I ended up calling back and talking to a manager who is hopefully expediting this since I have called several times already... ANOTHER UPDATE: 8/14 called again which feels like the millionth time. 23 days later and still not reimbursed for a claim submitted in July. For how much I pay a month its ridiculous its taking this long to get reimbursed... so forwarning its taking 10+ days to get reimbursed for a simple claim anything complex expect the full almost 30. Unbelievable. Make sure you have money set aside as backup.
