Great service

Nationwide Pet Insurance is well worth the price, claims are processed and money deposited quickly. I have not had one issue with Nationwide. The only thing I don't like is having to claim the refund before it is deposited. I was overseas on vacation and not checking emails daily, and almost forfeited the refund. Once the claim is in, the money should be deposited without further actions on our part.

Great experience so far with Pet Insurance

I've had a really good experience with my pet insurance so far. I've called a couple of times with questions on my policy and the support team is very friendly and helpful. The reimbursements for claims have been an easy process and have come quickly after the claim has been submitted.

Don't bother. It's a scam

After years of being a customer and not having problems, suddenly every claim I submitted was deemed to be a pre-existing condition. First, the consider any condition that existed before your renewal date a pre-existing condition. It is a renewal of the same policy, but now since the plan has renewed, anything your pet had even the day before the renewal is now pre-existing even though it is the same policy! My cat has asthma. They covered the diagnosis, but refused to cover the medications due to pre-existing condition. Then, everything, even if it is brand new becomes pre-existing. I took my cat in because she suddenly (read the word there, suddenly) started losing weight. Somehow that is a pre-existing condition to them, so they refused to cover it.

Very Pleased with Service

Was hoping to never have to use my pet insurance for anything other than preventive exams but unfortunately, I got tossed a curve. Lexi successfully got through surgery and is healing! I am grateful for this insurance. It has made caring for Lexi much less stressful. The ease to submitting claims and the quick turnaround times on claim payment has been wonderful. Glad to have Nationwide!

Easy to file

After some rest, Prompto is doing much better now and not limping anymore. On May 1 we took him to the vet because he had a very bad limp and didn't even want to put weight on his front leg. They didn't find any breaks and even shaved his shoulder to check for injuries, but there was nothing substantial. It seems it was probably just a bad sprain in the upper leg. They gave him a convenia shot just in case and he came home to rest it off. He was very panicked at the bet, so they had to put him under to check him, and also wake him up. I filed my claim on the 2nd. I included what I knew about what happened as well as the estimate + the final invoice. I had the Whole Pet with Wellness insurance, which has a $100 annual deductible and covers 90% of costs. About two weeks later I received a response in the e-mail that the claim had been accepted. About a week later I received the check. I didn't have any hassle using them. I had actually already scanned my vet records and was ready to send them when they asked, but I didn't even have to do that. It was a surprisingly easy process for me and I'm happy with the result. To be clear, I had the insurance policy that covers the most. I was also not only up to date on my payments, but I'm ahead on my payments. I also sent all the information with my claim. Previously, he had been healthy, though he had been bitten once by another cat previously. I did my best to be responsible on my side.
