Premium renewals doubled in one year
They are fairly swift at reimbursing claims. What bothered me was that they increased my premium by almost $100. I called to let them know that this was highly inappropriate business. The representative was not helpful. I’m asked to speak to someone else. The most they were willing to do is deduct $25 and the coverage would go from 90%/10% 80%/20%. I dread what will happen at this year’s renewal.

It’s hard getting insurance for your older dog when another insurance company cancels for no reason. And then the new one won’t cover anything that he had in his whole lifetime. Even if it’s been over a year since he was treated. I feel like with older dogs it’s just hard to get good coverage. I pay a lot to insure him and they find anything way they can to NOT cover the service.

I have had, at one time, 11 dogs covered under MetLife Pet Insurance and it gets pretty complicated figuring out and keeping them all separate. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me with claims and also condolences when I’ve lost one of my fur babies.
