Overall, very happy with the coverage received and ease/speed of claims.
Overall, the ease and speed in which claims are reviewed and paid is excellent. For injury/illness, the coverage has seemed fair so far.

Dog Attack
My Great Dane was attacked and lost half her ear and had several puncture wounds. Needed to go after hours vet. Obviously the vet needed to do a. Exam to determine injuries a d extent. Not covered.. how was she suppose to get treatment to save her life without an exam. Also Rabies shot not covered. This was a very necessary part of the emergency triage.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed that I wasn't able to upgrade my dog's insurance due to her having allergies. There are so many other medical issues she could have and be covered for, but she was permanently denied. Unfortunately we have had to cancel her insurance policy renewal in favor of a company that will provide full coverage. It is discouraging given the fact we have used Nationwide pet insurance for years and were hoping to add two more pets, but I was also informed that pricing has greatly increased which is not possible for us to afford.

Healthy Paws is a great pet insurance!
We are extremely grateful for Healthy Paws! Our 10 month old puppy was suspected to have a bleeding disorder and required countless tests and trips to see specialists. She ultimately needed surgery at a specialty hospital. Healthy Paws covered 90% of all of the bills making it possible for our puppy to receive the the best care from the best doctors. The customer service at Healthy Paws was also very helpful. There were always knowledgable people available to help answer our questions and concerns. Thankfully, our puppy is doing great now! We are very appreciative of all that Healthy Paws has done for us and would recommend them to any pet parent.

Best investment ever
I didn’t have good luck when I got my dachshund puppy. That dog was in the vet’s office every week with one ailment after another. I thought AKC pet insurance would eventually stop paying, find some loophole to hide behind to avoid writing another check, but they didn’t. They paid every claim and continue to do so. I have had no arguments with them and they pay in a timely manner. I would buy this insurance again tomorrow if I was stupid enough to get another dog.
