I have a 6.5 year old french bulldog…
I have a 6.5 year old french bulldog who was insured by Nationwide through my job's old benefit offering. When they switched to new medical plan, they were no longer a partner with Nationwide so I was on a new hunt for pet insurance for my pup. I did extensive research and decided to go with ASPCA. My dog has been healthy most of her life, with only minor issues such as allergies...however, as soon as I switched over to this insurance, we started having a few medical issues with her which at first seemed like scary health scares. Let's just say in my first 3 months of ASPCA, we had over $1,500 of vet bills from emergency visits. ASPCA was very quick to review and approve all claims. I was honestly, shocked. I was sure they would give us issues since we've only been on the plan for a few months, but they didn't...at all. I uploaded all of our bills, posted all the explanations and all of my claims were processed between 1-2 weeks. I have heard horror stories about insurance companies denying coverage for a multitude of crazy reasons and as nervous as I was about ASCPA, I couldn't be happier about my choice. I am hoping that they will continue providing the level of support as they have these last few months, for the rest of my dog's life. I should also add that for a 6.5 year old french bulldog, her plan is comparable in price (note- it's not cheap, but neither is any other company for a middle aged pure bred dog( to some of the more expensive insurance companies, but she gets much more coverage through ASPCA for what I pay than with any of the other competitors. ASPCA also does not consider a condition preexisting if the animal hasn't shown symptoms of it in 6+ months, which is unheard of in this industry.

I was skeptical about pet insurance…
I was skeptical about pet insurance and, after two years was thinking about canceling my policy, when my dog swallowed an avocado pit. Thankfully, an emergency vet hospital was able to remove it via endoscopy. I filed the bill online with Trupanion the next day (easy!) and three days later (including July 4th) was informed that the claim was completed. They paid exactly what the policy promised. I am very pleased with the coverage and the process.

Great insurance at a super affordable…
Great insurance at a super affordable price point. Covers high end care, including surgery and stem cells, but not typically covered smaller things like Shockwave. Seeked exhaustively extensive background information (several years' worth), though it was a sizable claim. Decided to renew since they paid as agreed and they already now have all my horse's information (so future claims will be easier).

Some procedures for coverage in policy which should be covered are not covered for my type of dog,otherwise policy is great.

Reliable, timely and compassionate Insurance
Our dog fought cancer for almost a year. Right from diagnosis through treatments and death ASCPA insurance was right there. Easy submission of records then as treatment began within two weeks of me uploading pics from my phone of bills, 90% (minus the deductible from first bill) of bill was easily deposited directly into our checking account! Always someone there to answer questions at customer service. After our dog passed they covered 90% of all cremation expenses. When we notified them of our dog passing they explained they would retroactively refund partial month’s premium. Days later they called to see how we were doing and expressed their condolences again. It was amazing to have an insurance company be so easy to deal with and not to have financial worries during this whole heart wrenching ordeal! Can’t say enough about this great company and staff!!

You have come through for us, been there for us, warmed our hearts, so many times. As Morrison ages he experiences hip and knee pain. The medications to keep him comfortable don't come cheap but mean the world to us and him. Your help makes a world of difference.
