Very reliable insurance
The plan is very easy to understand. Claims easy to submit. Now that I linked my bank account to the reimbursement department everything goes better and is less of a hassle.

Very grateful for pet insurance over the past couple of months as Buddy has been experiencing food intolerance issues and allergies. We are trying to determine what may be causing his GI upset. He is now on a hypoallergenic food and this seems to be helping for now. Thank you so much for accepting claims so easily and paying them so quickly. Vet care is not cheap.

Why am I paying premiums?
Filed my first claim for $517 which included x-rays, radiology fees, and a couple of tests for a brand new condition. Based on what they advertise, should be covered, right? After a full month of processing, the claim quietly came back as completed - and not one penny of it was covered! The only explanation on the EOB was "Other exclusion/limitation." What's that mean? I still don't know! They do NOT answer emails. And if you call, I hope you like listening to hold messages! I've called twice and been on hold for over 30 minutes before hanging up. One time I followed an option "If you want us to call you back, press 1" -- nothing happens with that either. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to contact them to cancel this worthless policy. Hopefully, I'll get hold of a human at some point!

Worst Pet Insurance Ever!
This is the worst pet insurance ever! I made payments to have my 4 year old lab insured for over a year. She developed a fatty growth on their leg (which is common in labs). We paid out of pocket to get it removed in expectation that the insurance we have on her would reimburse the surgery cost. I faxed over all the needed paperwork 3 times and they said they still did not have enough information. 6 months later I still did not get reimbursed her vet bill. I received another letter in the mail stating they needed another 30 days to review the claim (as if a half a year wasn’t long enough). I called them and they told me after looking into the claim they decided to deny our claim and not pay us any money. They said that it was a “pre-existing” condition, which is a lie. I was so angry to have waited a half a year and go through all this hassle just to get denied. I instantly canceled my dog’s insurance with them.

The BEST!!!
I have never been so in love with a company. I signed up for Healthy Paws a few months before my dog was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. While the diagnosis was scary, we never had to worry about affording the best treatment available. She has been on a very expensive low-grade chemo, for which Healthy Paws has reimbursed us about $35,000 over the last two years. They make reimbursement extremely easy. All you have to do is take a picture of the bill on the app and they'll send you a check within a week. You can also do direct deposit. Healthy Paws are literal lifesavers. Easy claim process
I am so glad I have pet insurance. I was with another pet insurance company before and my friend told me of the ease of filing claim with nationwide and that they offer wellness as well. I switched over to nationwide. Recently one of my dogs is diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Nationwide had send my reimbursement within a week after I filed my claims after I meet my deductible. They paid even my dogs hypothyroidism rx as well
