Bruno underwent very serious surgery. His herniated disc had to be removed, and because of his heart problem, the anesthesia was really dangerous in the case of a lengthy operation like this one. But my dog was partially paralyzed and because we reacted very quickly the success was to be within 90% so we went ahead with the surgery. It was a success. The hospital filled out the forms and I just forwarded them to Trupanion. My vet's assistant sent their forms as well. trupanion responded immediately, my claims were processed within a couple of days, and the refund appeared in my bank account within a week after Bruno"s surgery. The refund reflected the conditions of my policy so I was not surprised. In a case like this when you put on your credit card a huge sum and you don't even think of how and when to pay it off, a very fast refund is extremely helpful. Sending a claim from the hospital was one click of a mouse, I did not even deal with the rest, so I was very thankful that this process was so easy. I recommend Trupanion to every one I know. I even wrote to my family in Poland although I don't think you would extend your services to Europe.
