You were recommended to me by my vet when I bought my latest Abby about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, he's been plagued with some issues I've never encountered before and that require some specialist care. Trupanion has been good to its "word" in what it covers and the relative ease with which to file a claim. I have already begun to pass this important information along to friends, both privately and publically (on my FB page) as all of them own either cats or dogs (as well as other pet animals).

Although incredibly helpful and friendly on the phone the policy is of no financial benefit.
Although incredibly helpful and friendly on the phone the policy is of no financial benefit. My Golden's bill at NCSU was over $600 i paid in full filed for reimbursement and have been told they are '?deciding'? meanwhile i pay $70 a month for coverage. I'm not sure what needs to be decided ????? I'm not coming out ahead either way you look at it. I will probably cancel this policy

A nightmare
I rescued a dog from DRSF and decided to insure him. This was the first time I had ever purchased pet insurance. They wanted medical records so I sent the records from the rescue. I had filed a claim but kept getting told they needed more info. 2 pages were missing. You would upload something else and this would take 7-10 days for them to again tell you it wasn't enough. You can't call the department that handles this. I really feel completely ripped off. Luckily this happened at the beginning. I finally got so fed up I cancelled the policy.

Nationwide is great except for payment on meds!
I’m very satisfied with Nationwide EXCEPT there should be payment for medications. Brody has allergies & it costs a lot for Apequel, etc. please reconsider paying for meds. Otherwise I’m happy. Payment is prompt!
