She had started it for me while on the phone, which was very helpful, given that Roxy was already at the vet for a standard teeth cleaning, under anesthesia (which is when we discovered we needed to make a decision about proceeding with a tooth extraction and root canal procedure at that moment, without even knowing how much of it would be covered by insurance). It was difficult to process everything, including the compounding expenses, but Emily made the process easier when I called to confirm if the procedure that was happening at the time would be covered - and that I could submit the estimate I received just prior to the procedure to an email address to help fasttrack the claim, since I was expecting to pay the bill in just a few short hours. A kind and calm voice along with informative information to process the claim was very helpful indeed.

Funny accounting
Disappointed. My dog had a surgery in which they removed a mass on her belly, but while she was under, they found a mass on her gums too, so they took that out. Trupanion considered this two different events and split the cost of the surgery such that it was less than the deductible, and therefore they paid nothing.
