Very slow in processing the first claim. Still waiting to reimbursed from a July 2024 claim.

Positive Communication Negative Reviewer Protocol
The response time is very impressive & while this time it did take a few weeks, you sent emails & text messages with updates & explanations for the delay. Negative thigs which may be due to the reviewer (perhaps more training or a review of the current protocols for acceptable information). 1) I had to resend the same documentation twice. 2) The medication receipt submitted with the veterinarian's medical notes were insufficient. I had to contact the pharmacy to obtain additional information which was bizarre considering the only way we could have received the antibiotics was because of the veterinarian's prescription (as noted in the medical notes).

Simple but inefficient
The process is easy, but it could be more efficient if I could select the pet and diagnosis and then submit several invoices. Or at least have the option to keep the same pet & diagnosis when submitting several invoices separately.

Pleased with Spot Pet Insurance…
Pleased with Spot Pet Insurance so far for my puppy. We read over their recommendations for his care and discussed their suggestions with our vet. Together we have a plan of care for our puppy. Surprisingly, it was literally days between submitting our first vet visit and our Spot claim was paid.

I’d give zero stars if possible
I’d give zero stars if possible. They have fought every single claim I’ve made with both my dogs tooth and nail. Their service reps have been rude, dismissive and condescending. When asking questions they talk over you and repeat unrelated information at you. The current denial of my claim is based off of definitions not included in my policy documents. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Prices are too high, slow to process
Very slow in processing claims, find any loophole or excuse possible not to cover claims, call anything they possibly can a pre-existing condition, do not cover half of the things they should, increase prices every year SIGNIFICANTLY, pet portal is frustrating to use - should be able to view all info regarding a claim (amount, where, date, which dog, claim details etc). Do NOT recommend them for accident or illness for the above reasons. Rates in general are way too high. Adding fees for things that should be covered - like dental, prescription etc. Should always cover expenses for euthanasia, cremations etc even if wellness funds are depleted. They need to lower prices, stop claiming things are pre-existing, process claims faster, and overall provide better CS.

Response Time Outstanding
Embrace's response & turn around time was unbelievable. Had my puppy at an Emergency Vet on Sunday, submitted my invoice on-line on Monday and by Tuesday morning, $776 was already deposited in my checking account. To be very honest, I had considered canceling my insurance after an earlier claim had been denied due to "pre-existing condition". But I am glad I didn't. After my puppy had a massive blockage from swallowing something he shouldn't have and he had to have emergency procedures, I could not have been more impressed with there service.
