Embrace-Extraordinary

Okay, I'm the traditional skeptic but when two collie puppies joined our household last year I decided to purchase pet insurance. The first year policy ended on July 21 and one of the dogs was injured on July 22. Luckily, the policy was on automatic renewal. The outcome? *Amazing customer service *Claim forms with pet information and insurance ID info already filled in and down-loadable as pdf files. *Exceptional turn-around time. -7/30 faxed both dogs medical hx and vet notes -7/4 EOB completed(wellness benefits reviewed, too!) -7/5 phone in direct deposit info -7/7 claims completely paid and money in bank! *$857 vet bill covered as stated at 10% copay less $100 annual deductible *annual wellness plan benefit pd full amt per dog The customer service was phenomenal that included rapid email communication and courteous HUMAN telephone assistance.

Wonderful insurance

I've had 4 claims over a 3 year period with Pets Best. It has been easy to file claims, and they have always covered the entire bill without question, minus my $75 deductible and 20% copay. Last year I got back the premium amount because of one foxtail-in-the-nose incident (ouch) and a concern that Hannah was losing weight, which necessitated blood tests. For the foxtail, I had to take Hannah to 2 different vets because it didn't look like the first vet solved the problem. They waived the $75 deductible on the second visit because it was considered the same incident. I was so pleased, this year I purchased insurance for my new (to me) second dog, Roxie. She was clawed by another dog about 10 days ago and had a big incision. Again, they covered it promptly. Unfortunately I didn't have pet insurance for Roxie when she developed nerve cancer right after I adopted her--so I paid for treatment myself. And although her policy considers nerve cancer a preexisting condition, it will cover her if she develops another kind of cancer. It's nice to have the peace of mind that the girls will be covered for unforeseen illnesses and injuries, especially as they get older. Roxie is 8 and Hannah is 11.

Save your money and stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My little dog required surgery for severe peridontal disease. If the dog did not have the surgery he would have contracted an infection and possibly die. My vet thought that this would be covered as I had done preventative steps to avoid this outcome. Short story, I have paid over $4,000 to this company and submitted a claim for $700 and was denied, even though my vet recommended the treatment. I thought I was doing the right thing by getting pet insurance but I will not do so again. I truly believe this company is not out for the interest of your pet but the almighty dollar. Interestingly enough, if my dog had sustained an injury to his mouth like break his jaw, break teeth it would have been covered. I am furious!!! What was I paying for? Please, please put the funds in a separate bank account if you are planning to insure your pet and avoid the lining their pockets. Extremely extremely disappointed. Wonder if they will contact me to thank me for the "positive" review.

Very Happy So Far

I have never had pet insurance, so when I got my new purebred puppy, I researched and compared all the pet insurance policies I could find. I chose Embrace after narrowing it down to two. Embrace won out from all the great reviews and the personal emails and nice people on the telephone. Really Embrace offers more than the others and customer service is unparalleled.

Thanks for quick service

Pets Best always responds quickly to my requests for payments and pay fully. Thank you for the expedient manner in which you took care of Buddy's emergency hospital visit and follow up care.

Pleasantly Pleased....

This is my first claim with Embrace and very pleased with not only results/return of the claim but the ease of filing and communication. I've been at another insurance on a past dog (since passed away) in which commmunication was horrible and one never knew if the claim was received or progress of it....they kept this up without any prompting from the customer. I hope any future claims will be just as easy.

Woof!

I had been considering Trupanion for months but, it got put on the back burner. Until I needed to take my puppy to the vet and the first thing they asked was if I had insurance. $300 later, I was wishing I did have it! I did some research, made Trupanion a friend on Facebook and found a link through Dogster where I could get my first 2 months for free. Enough said....I signed up! I hope I don't need the insurance but, since my puppy just turned 1 year old, I am thinking it will be great to have the coverage for many years to come.

Fair terms...

This company has been relatively fair in reimbursements and upholding policy promises but are not completely fair when it comes to THEM deciding what is claimable and what is not.

Worst ever,

Purchased puppy, came with 1 month insurance which needed to be applied for within 48 hours, this was done. At vet visit for puppy shots, diagnosed with kennel cough, which eventually evolved into pneumonia 4 days later. Insurance claims were rejected, "preexisting condition". All we got was rhetoric when asking to reconsider. Would not recommend this to anyone.
