ASPCA a Fabulous Investment

I am the proud owner of 3 dogs and a cat. Shortly after I adopted my pug puppy, he jumped off a step and broke his growth plate, requiring surgery. It cost me over $3,000 out of my own pocket. I decided then and there to purchase insurance from ASPCA. About 10 months later, my cat got sick and it turned out she had a golfball sized struvite stone in her bladder. For a 4 pound cat, that was giant. We had her surgery, and made the claim to ASPCA. Within 4 weeks, we were reimbursed and the entire incident only cost us about $150 out of pocket. Not 6 months later, my border collie required surgery for struvite stones. If you love your pet and plan to provide good medical care for them, you're asking for trouble by not carrying insurance.

Shady, Ignorant and Dishonest

When I adopted my puppy, he had a bacterial skin infection known as Pyoderma, which Embrace did not cover as it was pre-existing. Fine. 9 months later, my dog began to lick his paws, which the vet determined was due to allergies. Since both pyoderma and allergies share a symptom- itchy skin- Embrace has denied my claim for allergies and is saying that it's a "pre-existing condition" even though my dog was never previously diagnosed with or treated for allergies. It's absolutely ridiculous, I couldn't be more displeased or dissatisfied- they took over 2 weeks to respond to my claim and didn't even do their homework regarding my dog's previous conditions. BE FOREWARNED- all that glitters is not gold, and Embrace DOES NOT deliver what they promise.

Excellent!

I have been extremely happy with ASPCA Insurance. I have had it approximately 2 years now. The claims are paid immediately. Whenever I call I get through right away to an agent. Everyone has been very nice to deal with and they always try to help me. I have recommended them to all my friends.

Excellent

Cody was biten by a rattlesnake, and had to spend two days in the hospital. I called and asked for a claim form and they asked what happened and seamed very caring which was very kind. My claim went very smoothly I couldn't beleive it. All of my claim was not taken care of the first time I called and they were sorry it was overlooked the first time and promptly taken care of. They also asked how Cody was doing. I really did sound like they really cared which is really nice to know. I have recommended them very highly to some of my friends, and I usually don't do something like that.

rate increase

Not happy with my $120 rate increase. My 3yo GSD had no major health issues last year (we made 1 claim that ate up our deductible, so we never even tapped into the insurer's money). For the same exact plan today our premium went from $420 to $587/yr. Not acceptable. Embrace never notified me to warn me that my policy was coming up for renewal, either. Had I not asked, they were going to automatically renew & bill my CC at the new rate. WTF is that all about? I called them and spoke to a rep to ask about the rate increase. He had no real answer, and mentioned something about a "book of business" as a premium model....or something like that. When pressed, he mentioned something about basing my premium on other dogs claims. So...now my premium increase has nothing to actually do with MY dog? Dead silence on the other end of the line. I immediately canceled my policy. The customer service doesn't seem to really have a clue as to what they are doing, and I need a company that's got it's shit together when it comes to the health and well being of both my dog and my wallet.

So far so good

I had my first claim and everyone has been very nice - good communication through email and if there's a problem they will respond back within one day. I'm waiting for my first check and they said I should receive it in 10 days. So far so good!

Claim

This is my first claim to Embrace. My dog, Lilly, came down with a bleeding condition which was diagnosed at colitis and I was pretty happy with the claim process. I did, however, have to scan all of her previous medical documents to Embrace, which I had not been told I would have to do when purchashing the plan. I also did not realize that medications to treat the condition were not covered, so I am still $100 away from her deductible. I also did not receive my response in the stated 15-day time period, but upon writing to my agent, I received an immediate response. The claim result was easy to read and easy to file away electronically.

So pleased!

I have all three of my cats insured with Embrace for the last two years. While we haven't had any major medical events (thank goodness) we have had a few minor scares. Embrace has been great every time. They keep me updated on every step of the claims process. They are easy to reach. I feel like I have my own personal rep who answers my emails quickly. I've never had a problem with a refund and I'm so happy we are covered through Embrace.

Incredible Coverage

Embrace is the first pet insurance I've purchased. I looked into many pet insurance companies and thought Embrace was by far the best coverage for the least amount of cost. My husband and I purchased two puppies from a very poor breader, which we learned very quickly. My girl, Willow, had to have surgery on both her knees after just a few months of joining our family (each knee surgery cost between $3,700 - $4,700). She had one knee repaired and Embrace paid the entire invoice after our $500 deductible. About two months later she had her other knee repaired and Embrace paid the entire amount; nothing out of pocket for us. When our renewal came around, I thought the premium would go up but it actually went down. Amazing pet coverage at an amazing price. Now my boy, Dutch, is experiencing the same issue and will need surgery on his right knee; thank goodness I purchased Embrace because I know I'm covered. Try Embrace, there are many options to choose from, and I know anyone who has this coverage will be very pleased. Thank you Embrace.
