Great company but pricey!!
I have had Nationwide for 2 dogs now. They are a great company with excellent customer service & claims are easy to submit. My one & only complaint is the price. It's extremely high! My dog's coverage has gone from $80 to almost $200 which I feel is a drastic change!! Please consider lowering the price - even a little bit! This extreme climb in price has forced my Nationwide friends to go elsewhere.

Expensive - but worth it for the peace of mind
We have pet insurance on both our dogs - so we wouldn't have to make any hard choices based on cost. It reminds us to have twice yearly checkups with blood work, and to keep up on flea and heart worm control, as it is included in our premium - this helps keep them both healthy and avoids/catches issues that might otherwise shorten their lives. One of them has had some benign skin lesions which, because of the insurance, we have been able to stay on top of - and remove each one before they are worrisome. This has allowed us to have her checked and have the maintenance necessary to avoid a worsening condition that could be life threatening. Thank you, Nationwide, for allowing us the peace of mind that comes with insuring our pets are covered should anything serious come along - you have our back.

Could not get this to connect!
Website address for obtaining claims forms varies year to year. Difficult to find the email address and claim submission process. I finally wound up taking phone pics of my documents and submitting the email claim that way.

Fast and Easy via email w/scans of paperwork
Figuring out how to submit the claim was a bit of a challenge. I tried uploading via the website. No luck. I was stuck in spinning hell. I downloaded the app. No luck with that either. The app is not really for just claims. It may be good for other purposes but I won't know because it frustrated me quickly. It did not feel intuitive and needed to much information. The easiest way to submit the claim was to scan the 21 pages of paperwork (I used the tiny scanner app on my iPhone) and sent it via email. The claim was reviewed within a week. I received the check within days. Thank you. I am so glad we purchased this insurance. Work out the kinks with the other ways to submit claims and I would make it a ten star rating as far as claim processing.

We had to rush Toffee to the emergency vet recently & Nationwide covered 98% (my guesstimate) of the visit. Getting reimbursed for the unexpected cost is such a relief and alleviates so much of the stress of having a sick pup/family member. <3
