Our six-year-old cat, Mingus, was experiencing diarrhea, so we took him to the vet. It seemed to come on shortly after we went on holiday, so we presumed he was experiencing stress-induced enteritis. The vet concurred and subscribed an antibiotic based on a stool sample. We submitted that claim to Trupanion and they resolved it fairly quickly. Unfortunately, after about six weeks of a very slow recovery, things took a turn for the worse and Mingus stopped eating. We took him in to the vet again and, after keeping him overnight for further assessment, our regular vet felt there were liver issues that needed to be assessed by a specialist. And, again unfortunately, the specialist did not have a very optimistic outlook, especially after an MRI and a needle aspiration. That afternoon, I said goodbye to my friend. But, after all that sadness and stress, I submitted the paperwork to Trupanion and, within a week, they processed and paid my claims (covering over $1100 of about $1400). So, although my story is a sad one, Trupanion made the financial side much easier. Thank you, Trupanion.

I am a cocker spaniel lover. I had VPI on my 2nd cocker who died at age 4 of Evans Syndrome. The schedule of benefits just doesn't work for me. So now I have Sadie and she's on Pets Best. They are so friendly, pay 80% and if direct deposit usually in your account fast! Would never, ever go with anyone else. I recommend PETS BEST!!

I have 2 yorkies that are my husband and my greatest companions and travelers. They have had some unfortunate health issues this year...Pets Best was amazing insurance for us to carry!!!Way beyond all other opinions about pet insurance I had heard that were all negative! They are VERY EXPEDITIOUS about their claim responses!!! You can always reach a VERY HELPFUL representative when you phone them!!! My Vet recommended them to me....he's the best Vet in the world...I also have recommended them to MANY others and will continue to do so!!! It definitely came in handy when our animal hospital registered us with Trupanion insurance. Our puppy broke two of her toes and the cost associated to fix this was not in the budget. Luckily Trupanion will work directly with our animal hospital so the worry of being able to pay for our new family member's treatment was lifted. It was nice to not have to figure out how to pay up front and wait weeks for a cheque in the mail. It was all taken care of before I even left my house to pick her up from the animal hospital.

I filed a claim in August on an August 7 date of service. The amt of the claim was almost $300. Today, Oct 3 I finally rec'd a reply about the claims. They have agreed to pay $51. I have waited for 2 months for them to process the claim!! I AM THROUGH WITH THEM. Their marketing media was totally propaganda!! Good by Embrace or should I say "DISTASTE"!!! THANKS so much for your misrepresentation!!!BTW, THIS IS THE 3rd claim submitted - they paid ZERO on the first 2 and a whooping $51 on this one which good 2 MONTHS to get a response!!!!
