AMAZING
Healthy paws is hands-down amazing. I recommend it to everyone, everywhere. Our dog, Mr. Jones, unfortunately has a lot of medical issues. We couldn’t be happier with the customer service. Submitting claims through the online portal is so very simple. Tracking reimbursement is easy. Direct deposit into our checking account is amazing as well. We highly highly HIGHLY recommend healthy paws.

Recently, our Stevie got sick. We thought it was just a little stomach bug and that it would pass. We took her to the vet, got some anti-nausea medicine and brought her home. Unfortunately, it was more than just a stomach bug - Stevie needed surgery. We were so stressed out when we got the news, but we had no choice but to have the surgery done to save her life. Happily, the surgery went well and Stevie is back home and recovering well. And what’s more, we have already been reimbursed for our expenses by Healthy Paws. We received our refund within about a week of submitting our claim. It was a quick, simple process and it made it easy for us to have peace of mind and to focus our energies on Stevie rather than trying to figure out how to pay for her surgery. Fast and helpful service
We have filed a few claims with Figo, one very large one recently after our dog had TPLO surgery. The claim was approved and closed in less than 24 hours. Also, the money is deposited quickly into your account. The service is phenomenal and we do not have any complaints. This insurance has saved us from some very large hospital bills.

I did tons of research before deciding on Embrace, and I'm so glad I went with it because I've had no hiccups during the claims process - they covered everything I expected them to. I had no idea I would need the insurance so badly, but my cat ended up having a lot of major, unexpected and unexplained health issues only a few months after starting my policy. She even had to be hospitalized at one point. She's doing fine now, but I had to spend over $4k on vet bills for her this past year. Embrace made the process fairly easy, and again, my claims were accepted. I do recommend getting the RX coverage; it's not that much more, and medications definitely start to add up. I only have two complaints...one is that the cost did increase a decent amount in the new plan year, a bit more than I expected. But I'll still stay with them after they saved me thousands this past year. The second issue is more minor - they had a "vet tech" type consulting service you could call to help get input on a health issue and whether it seemed important to take your pet in. They took away this feature but are supposedly seeking a new replacement service. I did find the service helpful the one time I used it. But the insurance is the most important part...and they did deliver as promised. I'm happy, my kitty is happy, and my bank account is reasonably happy.

Riley, our golden retriever, has had more then her share of health challenges and she is only 4 years old. The most recent and serious problem has been cruciate ligament tears in both her back legs. Healthy Paws processed our claim for the first leg in a week. And a $3,500 claim is very hard to afford. Getting the 80% reimbursement before getting the credit card bill was so helpful. We purchased Riley's policy when she was 2 years old. At that time the only issue she had was skin allergies. We knew these claims would not covered because it was clearly a previously existing condition. Everything else has been covered. And the people at Healthy Paws have been so caring. (And even with just the first leg repaired, Riley is like a puppy again. We did not realize how much pain she must have been in.)

I love every aspect of Figo!
Ok. If you don’t end up using the insurance, it’s easy to question what you’re really paying for. With that being said, the whole purpose of pet insurance is to be prepared for those unexpected occurrences. A few months ago, my husband and I had to rush one of our dogs to the emergency vet. We had no clue what was going on with her and it turned out that she had some sort of anaphylactic reaction to something (which we still have no idea what caused it). The staff couldn’t get a blood pressure on her, she had weak pulses, her heart rate was extremely high, she had diarrhea and was vomiting up blood...she had to stay at the vet for over 24 hours. When we visited our sweet girl and she was more stable, the doc told us that we did the right thing and if we brought her in any later that we most likely would’ve lost her. Enough with the background story, anyone whose had to take their pet into an emergency clinic knows how fast (and high) the cost rises. Figo and the app made this difficult time extremely easy. The only thing I had to do was start my claim through the app and scan my bill. If Figo needed extra info, they reached out to the vet for whatever they needed. You’re able to view your claim status through the app as well. I have to say my favorite feature is the text support capability. I reached out with a question in regards to my claim status and they informed me they were waiting for the vet to send more info. A few days later I had a check deposited into my account. Figo takes the hassle out of filing a claim and they always reached out and asked about how our dog was doing. The only (minor) issue I’ve had with this company is some confusion in regards to what is able to get reimbursed. Unless you pay for the extra coverage, fees for the office visit are not covered. I was under the impression that I would be reimbursed for the office visit since it was considered an emergency... I was pretty sure I had read this somewhere on the website. I either read it wrong, or it was written poorly... regardless, I’m very happy with Figo in every aspect!

3 month old puppy breaks her leg
We received information about Trupanion through our adoption agency. I called and got some good information but I never followed up. Then my son reminded me. I called right away and signed up. Everyone that I have spoken with at Trupanion was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly; I never waited more than 2 minutes to speak with a representative. Soon after, my little pup broke her leg playing with another dog. Trupanion was there for us, reassuring and caring. Submitting the paperwork was easy... helpful representatives guided me through the process. I just wish my health insurance was as friendly and timely! I have told everyone about this company and recommended Trupanion.
