Wouldn’t have chosen another company
I would definitely recommend Pets Best. Every time we’ve placed a claim for our cat they fully answered any questions we had in regards to coverage and they reviewed our claim and got back to us quickly. It’s a very small price to pay for the care of our pets.

I wish there was a no star
I wish there was a no star. ANY star is too generous for this scam artist. On the website it states clearly that their insurance covers “unexpected illness”. Well we were unexpected as could be. Our puppy has had a clean bill of health since the day we got him from a licensed breeder. NO KNOWN CONDITIONS! We got TRUPANION just in case something serious could go down and took him to his next Wellness check. Vet then suddenly noticed an issue with his legs, told us it’s probably nothing but get a consult just in case. Like idiot responsible pet owners, we followed our ver’s advice and took him to the hospital only for Useless TRUPANION to deny our claim being ONE DAY short of the waiting period. Again, we had had zero prior knowledge and this visit was based on a hunch. Now TRUPANION thinks we can just afford an over $8,000 surgery by ourselves, gave us NO advice or avenue to dispute this shady decision on their end and now our puppy has to STAY in pain because they cannot cover him. We have been enrolled with them for exactly 4 days. Dump your plan in the trash, it’s only useful based on karma. Please make sure you keep it in case your pup gets hit by a bus. Otherwise, you won’t get any help. Even then, they’ll tell you the bus was built in 1995 so it’s a “pre-existing condition”. Not worth your money, good people.

Trupanion makes it easy
On my vet's advice we purchased a policy from Trupanion. She said this type of dog( Belgian Malinois mix) commonly tear their ACL in the knee from running, jumping etc. We've been paying our premiums for about 4 years now. Sure enough this year she tore her ACL(or CCL in dogs). I started submitting claims fro xrays, anti inflamatory meds etc. Filing a claim is so easy!! They respond right away and let you know they are looking at it and then usually within a few days they inform you they have covered it! We have them pay us back so it is deposited it straight into our account. It's not 4-6 weeks! It's a matter of days! We have been extremely happy with Trupanion's service. Her surgery total has been close to $6,000. We could have done it , but Trupanion made it less of a worry of how are we going to pay for this.We are very impressed with Trupanion! I have recommended it to a few people!

DO NOT BUY
This insurance is horrible. Do not buy this. They denied my claim for an isolated incident for my dogs ear infection due to him getting water in his ears. The are trying to say that the ear infection is pre-existing because my dog has dermatology issues. The ear infection had nothing to do with my dogs dander issue!!!! So disappointed after paying all this money for the past few years!! Customer service was horrible! Do not get this insurance!
