Great!

We've absolutely loved having Nationwide Pet Insurance for our dog. He was rescued and the frist few months were a struggle figuring out stomahc issues, dental procecures, you name it. It was such reassurance to know that Nationwide would be able to help us cover the majority of the costs for every vet visit or proceudre and that we could get our dog the best care.

Affordable for older dogs too!

As proud parents of 6 young Brussels Griffons, we have found Healthy Paws Insurance to be an exceptionally great fit for our family. The process to submit claims takes 1-2 minutes, and approval is usually made within a couple of days. Last year we found out the father of some of our kiddos was needing a home. We jumped at the chance. The first phone call after we got him home was to Healthy Paws. He was 9 years old, and we didn't think he'd be insurable. Think again: his monthly premium was only slightly higher than the youngsters. His deductible and co-pay was a little more, but quickly doing the math, it was still a fantastic value. Thank you Healthy Paws!

For the average person who has pets

For the average person who has pets, they want to cover their fur baby but the premium is a little pricey. Most people do not have a lot of extra money to throw around and live as simply as possible. The coverage is really good, but the price as said before is a little high for the average person.

A lot of good but a little dissapointment

Prudent Pet Insurance came to the best deal in what I had access to. Even an employee discounted policy at another place. You have a lot of ability to adjust your policy for deductible and payout to get a price you can work with. The website is very simple and filing a claim was no problem if you are tech savvy enough to take a picture of your bill and get that loaded up to the site. I filed on 3/26 and got a return on 4/9. So about 2 weeks, which is pretty good. That's the email, I have not actually checked the account to see if the money hit also. Now for the disappointment. I paid for a policy that said 90%. For a wellness visit for a puppy I ended up getting 85% of the bill reimbursed. Close, but not 90% and that 5% will add up if this is always the case. Of 5 items the heartworm/flea meds and rabies vac were paid 100%. The rest came back at 66%, 91%, and 75% with a code "61" that read Amount exceeds the allowed amount for Preventative item listed in your plan. Now, what that code was there for the 91% I'm not sure. But just be aware that they have a list of prices and you only get so much for each item. This is the first claim so it will be interesting to see how it goes as we go. I still have hope that this was the best one to go with after investigating and I hope this review helps others as it has the type of information I was looking for and didn't see when reading the reviews. 85% is still pretty good, it's just not 90% and I'm sure I missed fine print somewhere that stated this.

Many people are unable to pay your monthly fee. Especially disabled and elderly on fixed income. I can't be without my dog,he alerts me when I need to get my door. I had to get him a certificate for service dog to even be able to have him. I am in a power wheelchair and alone most of the time. He is already 8 1/2.

Highly recommend Healthy Paws!

We have had our 7 Brussels Griffons all on the Healthy Paws insurance for the last 3 years. The process to submit a claim online is beyond simple (takes about 2 minutes), and most claims are processed within just a couple days. Reimbursement is very quick too.. Recently 2 of our babies racked up hefty medical bills in the span of the same week. It was very comforting to know that Healthy Paws was there for us. Great customer service, and absolutely a fantastic value!

Chipped Canine...No Worries!

My boy Rocky chipped a canine and it became infected and needed root canal to save it. Without the coverage from Nationwide Insurance, the costs would have been a real hardship. I am full of gratitude for your service. Thank you!
