My claims do get paid! But I find that they consistently are slow to get it done. I have had several letters telling me "we'll get it done, sorry, this is not like Embrace!" Well, apparently it is, since I get these letters every time. My dog has been in multiple times for blood and stool work ups, so although it's not one big claim, they're adding up, and I need my refunds.

Sharon V. is an extraordinary customer service representative. She was helpful, professional and incredibly personable.Unfortunately my policy expired but I do hope to be a Pets Best customer in the near future primarily due to her. How refreshing to have a wonderful human being on the end of a customer service line. I was truly impressed by Pets Best and would not recommend any other Pet Insurance to my friends.

I have had Trupanion for about 9 months. I have had several claims already. Trupanion sends an email as soon as the claim is received, another once it's being reviewed, and another with the results of the review. They detail the coverage and the payment. I have a zero deductible so I pay the vet visit then 10%. That has been the case with each claim, no surprises. Truly a professionally run business, allowing you to worry about what you need to worry about. My veterinarian has been working with Trupanion for some time, and highly recommended them. I consider my veterinarian very knowledgeable about insurance. They see the coverage from different companies. The doctor carries it for her pets, and so do the office managers and vet techs. I do dog rescue for a non-profit organization so my concern for my own personal pets is very important. I have seen families that can't afford to care for their pets due to health issues. I don't ever want to have to make that kind of decision. I have had other pet insurance coverage, and I am not running anyone down but I have been very pleased with Trupanion. I recently had an emergency vet visit. I was there for around 14 hours. On arrival I gave them my pet insurance information. There were no issues and I wasn't required to be put down a 50% deposit. You treat the pet owners & pets like they are family ! So genuinely compasionate ! My dog goes to work with me and just today someone said "I'd love to get a dog but the vet bills are so high" I immediately said "don't you know about pet insurance " and recommended Embrace !

My best friend got Trupanion for her cat after I told her about the benefits of pet health insurance. It's literally paid off for her. Her cat had 2 trips to the emergency animal hospital, one which required surgery. Trupanion was good to its word: paid 90% of the bills excluding examination fees. My friend chose not to have a deductible so that helped,too. Without Trupanion, my friend would have had to have her cat euthanized because of the emerg. vet. costs. I also have Trupanion for my dog. She has a monthly Rx expense and Trupanion pays 90% of it. I, too chose a $0.00 deductible. I would never have another pet without getting it covered by Trupanion.
