GREAT COMPANY

I have had ASPCA pet insurance for several years, covering two dogs. The team is efficient, courteous and prompt in responding to inquiries, I would, and have in the past, highly recommend pet owners to go with ASPCA coverage,

Nationwide Pet Insurance gives me peace of mind when it comes to the care of my pet

Having Nationwide Insurance for my pet makes it easy to make decisions regarding his care. When problems arise I don't hesitate to take him to get checked out. Without the insurance my decisions would be much more stressful. During this crisis I worry it might be too expensive but then I think of the cost without it.

Amazing insurance

Adding a new fur baby in our family I wanted to be sure she would be taken care of in case of any unforeseen needs. I choose the plan which included wellness visits which is amazing with a puppy with all the visit you need.

Shameful Predatory Organization

As many others have already stated, I wish I'd come to this site to review the company's stature before I ever got involved with them. Luckily I'm finding out very early on that they will go to absolute lengths to try to deny claims, and I'll be able to cancel my policy before making my first payment. My vet gave my new puppy a clean bill of health on April 8th, 2020 and when I spoke with Trupanion on April 9th they said I'd be covered for everything, waiting fee waived, etc... But they just flat out lied. Now it's April 20th, my puppy has been having some kind of issue that's caused him pneumonia and these folks are claiming it's a pre-existing condition. So my vet can't do the procedure and these folks are haggling with me, costing my puppy precious minutes as they argue over the definition of a pre-existing condition. Of course, I paid out of pocket as my puppy's situation was dire. Just wow. Thank goodness my pet registration included separate 30-day retroactive insurance that I wasn't aware of, otherwise, the bills for this would be well into the five figures. Never touching this company again and I'd suggest others avoid them as well.

A shameful, predatory company

I'm finding out very early on that they will go to absolute lengths to try to deny claims, and I'll be able to cancel my policy before making my first payment. *And I'll just add that the "pre-existing symptoms" clause was complete nonsense. They had the nerve to say that because my puppy (which I had purchased one week prior) had loose stool before my coverage, they would not cover his pneumonia despite the vet clearly stating that the two incidents were unrelated. The reasoning here is what? I can never get covered in the future any time my dog has some diarrhea. Seriously? As I said in the title- Shameful and predatory, and their response speaks directly to it.

I LOVE having full coverage for my dog!

I am so thrilled with the customer care and the ease of reimbursement that I have found with nationwide! Not every claim is cut and dry and I often worry I will have to resubmit and I never do! I feel like they are really committed to covering EVERYTHING that happens with my dog and are not looking for a technicality or details to refuse my claim. I really feel like Nationwide has my back and is there for anythign that might happen with my pup!
