Prompt processing of claims

We've had Nationwide coverage for 2 years, soon entering our 3rd year. Overall, we've had a good experience with the company.

Great coverage wish submitting claim was easier

Love the coverage and have had it for many pets. Most frustrating part is trying to submit claims. Wish it was easier. Last year I didnt submit 400 bucks worth due to hassle of submitting claim

Everyone should have Pet Insurance

I only had a few problems with claims and when I made the request for review and provided further documentation, they got resolved.

How to avoid paying a claim!

The only exclusion on our policy was a mild skin allergy under our dog's chin. It was listed as the only exclusion on the policy. Two years into the policy he broke a nail on his left hind foot, something he had done prior to the policy, but it was not listed as an exclusion. After breaking his toe again a year ago, our vet was worried about cancer in that toe so it was amputated. The bill was close to $1000 and the insurance company denied the claim as they claimed it was a pre-existing condition, though they did not make it an exclusion when the policy was purchased. Our vet even wrote a letter to them. Very poor customer relations, slow getting answers, poor compant to deal with.

ACL Surgery

Our Saint Bernard needed major ACL surgery and follow-up therapy. This was quite expensive and we were very glad we'd gotten ASPCA pet health insurance for her last year. We also have coverage for our other dog now - hopefully we won't need it but it's a blessing if/when we do.
