If I could I give them 10 stars I would. Honey Girl needed a root canal. YES a root canal! Talk about expensive! I was reimbursed 80% less the $100 deductible. PLUS their entire staff have been extremely helpful, supportive and friendly. This company is responsible and they do what they promise in a timely way. THANK YOU Tim, Kyrie, Sara, Denise, Taylor, and Hillary at HEALTHY PAWS :-)))))

It was heart wrenching when our dog let out a yelp and started hopping around on three legs, holding the left in the air as the result of a problem with her knee and a torn ACL. It was difficult to hear the diagnosis indicating that this was not something that would repair itself. But, we knew we would immediately get the best care for her because Healthy Paws insurance was there to back us up. Nearly two years ago, we had surgery performed, spent 12 weeks recovering and couldn't be happier with the result. More importantly, we couldn't be happier with the responsiveness of Healthy Paws that made it financially possible for us to seek out some of the best canine orthopedic help. Once the claim was filed, payment was in our hands within just a few days. Didn't even take a week! Wish our human health insurance worked so well. Three weeks ago, the same surgery was needed on our dog's right leg and, once again, Healthy Paws came through. We recommend them to everyone. Premiums are reasonable and the peace of mind knowing we can seek help and get quick reimbursement is priceless.

Sadly, we had to put our 4 year old Golden Retriever, Sasha, to sleep recently after an 8 month battle with Lymphoma. It was a very difficult process but made much easier by the wonderful people at Trupanion as well as the ease of filing her insurance bill claims. Apparently this process will be getting even easier soon. I have been a human doctor for 20 years and deal with insurance issues almost daily. If our healthcare system adopted the Trupanion method, our country would have much better and affordable healthcare as well as less complicated. After Sasha died, I spoke with Cynthia to cancel her policy. She was very sweet and empathetic and even sent me a letter of condolence. The personal treatment, the ease of signing up, paying the premium, and picking your policy as well as the ease of paying/reimbursement for care make this insurance company quite incredible. I strongly recommend them for your pet and maybe one day for humans as well. Thanks Trupanion for making our loss of Sasha a little bit easier. Dr. Brown, M.D.

I have used Embrace for 4-1/2 years - since I got my beautiful rescue, Jackson. Anytime I have a question or whenever I submit a claim, I am met with the most knowledgeable, caring and professional people. I have told every single one of my friends with dogs that if they don't have Embrace, they should cancel their current insurance and sign up!

Customer Service contacted us to see how our two pets were doing and sent a sympathy e-mail when they learned of our cat being put to sleep. The coverage is excellent for office visits and tests. The amount reimbursed for medication is barely adequate, as a pet owner doesn't have control over the amount charged by the vet. I'd like to see better coverage for cleaning and tooth removal. Also, it would have been helpful to know that I had to add continuing coverage before Tacori turned 10, I tried to add it and was told I could not. The price has escalated in the past 3 years, almost doubling in cost in that period of time. I'll be looking closely at the coverage at next renewal to see what is right for Tacori.

My dog Niko was diagnosed with Epilepsy 2 years ago. Healthy paws has been there for us helping us all the way. Two weeks ago she had cluster seizures that put her in WSU Veterinary Hospital for 5 days for her seizures and for Aspiration Pneumonia. She was on deaths door, but because Healthy paws was there for us, she was able to stay at WSU and get the treatment she needed. Without Healthy Paws that option would not have been available, and she would not be sleeping on her bed next to me right now. Thank you so much Healthy Paws for saving my best friends life.

I recently became a client of Trupanion. My pet started vomiting about 4 weeks ago. After seeing the vet,some tests were ordered, and 5 claims were open. When the results of the test came back, the claims were sent to Trupanion. All claims were denied due to "Preexisting condition" or "prior to the policy inception/ during the 5 day accident waiting period / during the 30 day illness waiting period, there can be no coverage for this claim". I therefore cancelled my policy. I am not impressed with the company and I tell anyone who has a pet wants to listen, my story.
