This is my third claim with trupanion. I am impressed with the speed of the claim, I received my funds within 2 weeks of My dog having surgery. Call centre is also very helpful and able to answer questions, I was kept informed of status via email so I never had to worry if I would actually be paid or when. I would never be without pet insurance now. It such a good feeling to not have to worry about the cost of your pets care, and to give them the medical care they need when they need it not when you can afford it.

I had another insurance company years ago for my other doggies and they can't even compare with the ASPCA insurance. They denied more than they paid, and we never knew when we might get reimbursed. We also always had to have the vet fill out the claim forms. None of that now. I can't tell you how pleased we are with all facets of our experience with the ASPCA and Kim, our customer rep

They do not provide the services that the claim. Instead of helping me with any of my $500 worth of animal related expenses, they instead increased my expenses by $20 per month per animal. So since October, I have paid Health Paws roughly $320. However, they only cover about 1/4 of what they say they do. The whole point of insurance is to get help in case your animal gets sick. So, for my cat that needed veterinary services, I have paid $160 thus far. He has bills of $500. 80% would be $400. After my $250 deductible, this would actually help me. However, they play very unfair games. The have my $160 (plus $160 for the other, healthy cat) and they finagle the numbers so that the covered percentage of $500 is somehow only $133.32. So it doesn't even begin to offset my deductible. Therefore, instead of helping at all, my $500 of expenses on Remy has become $660. Thanks healthy paws!

I added the alternative therapy rider to my German Shepherd's plan and when he hurt his shoulder my claim was paid out without any additional questions asked - from 2 different vets for the one injury. What would have cost me nearly $1300 was a lot less. I am able to get my dog the care he needs to heal. In this case, it was cold laser therapy. And I can take my insurance overseas with me for our next duty station.

My Golden Retriever Layla has been "Embraced" for several years now. I am very happy that I went with Embrace as her pet insurance carrier. My sister uses a different company for her dogs and when I told her quickly my refund arrived for Layla's surgical procedure she was very impressed. I love that the entire claims dept. keeps in constant contact with you during the process of your claim and again, the refund arrived very quickly. Embrace is the only insurance I would use for my pets now and in the future.

I didn't even know about pet insurance until I got a new puppy and at the vet office they told me about it and gave me the info from trupanion for a free 30 day trial for my puppy. I ended up signing my older dog up for it and she unexpectantly got very sick and this insurance paid exactly what the policy states. I am very glad I have this.
