Claims make your premiums skyrocket
Healthy Paws has always been fair with price and service for 7 years, until I had 2 claims for my Standard Poodle 2 years ago. He is 12 years old and the surgery and care saved his life, but after filing a claim his premium went from $70 a month to $100 then a year after that to $180 a month. I now have a dog I cant afford the insurance payments for that will not get coverage anywhere else. Healthy Paws was happy to keep my premium low while I had no claims, but once I needed the insurance they made sure I wouldn't keep it.

Perfectly fine pet insurance that covers 90% of illness and accident costs... but it takes WAY too long to get reimbursed. At least 30 days every single claim. Make the payment process faster, and you’ll get that fifth star.

Healthy Paws has been amazing with coverage and reimbursement
Over the past several years my dog Shiloh has had multiple surgeries related to the growth of Mast Cell tumors as well as TPLO surgery last August. HEALTHY PAWS PET INSURANCE has been amazingly supportive. Their coverage and quick reimbursement has been a tremendous help in Shilohs health care

Trupanion is very straightforward and has always paid exactly what their policy promises to cover
We've had Trupanion ever since our Bichon was a puppy (almost 8 years now). They are very easy to deal with and have never denied any charges that are covered by our policy. I would recommend them.

Easy, Efficient, Ethical
These guys are great. I have been using Trupanion for 9 yrs now for my Frenchies. They have always been excellent about their coverage of claims. They now have a very efficient and easy submittal process which I love. And l love the fact that you are updated with texts and/or email on your claim submission throughout the process. Highly recommend them

They keep increasing premiums
Fortunately we didn't have to submit any claims, but they keep increasing prices as your dog ages. Not small amount 20% every time.
